Alpine ILX-207 2015 non-JBL

Bit the bullet and just bought the Alpine ILX-207 from Crutchfield. Using a Crux interface and did the Crutchfield Ready Harness. Not sure if I will have time to install this weekend.

Anyone install this unit with the Ready Harness? Any tricks to be aware of?

 

Got the Alpine ilx-207 installed. Sounds great. Bought from Crutchfield they have great customer service and tech support. A few things. I had the Entune premium with gps and satellite radio. They showed iDatalink ACC-SAT-T01 for connecting the XM satellite radio. My truck is a 2015 and that item didn’t fit due to a different plug type. Took some convincing but they sent me an iDatalink ACC-SAT-T02, which shows for use on 2016 and up. That model worked to connect both XM and GPS. The main harness interface is the Crux. One thing which may be an issue...the backup cam works but after moving to park or drive the camera turns off but the screen goes black except for the guidelines. See the attached picture. It stays that way for 14 seconds...yep, counted several times. anyone who have installed this stereo or the ILX-650 experience this?

My steering wheel controls work but the side to side buttons don’t now. Sent a note to Crutchfield.



I need to adjust the radio install brackets to better align but it is cold here so will wait a few. Used the Metra install kit. Added a pic of the installed radio.
