I need help locating a wire to use as the input for a relay to power halo lights in my retrofits. i need a wire with 12 volts switched on and off with the ignition, so the lights are always on with the truck except for when the headlights are in use (the relay will take care of that). Looking for a wire near the fuse box area as that is where I would like to mount the relay. I have all other wires needed for the relay located. Thanks for any help!

I used the fuse leading to the dash (speedo tachometer etc.) I believe. It is a 10a one so I figured a little extra was less likely to hurt the wiring leading to it. I used a fuse tap to add a fuse and wire it in. I will send pics when I get a chance

Here is a pic of the fuse I tapped into and what I used it is a first gen so may not be the solution for you. I chose to do this becuase I ran this as power to a relay (spdt I think) so normally my halos would be on whenever the dash is but they turn off when my headlights are on (tapped a headlight wire and lead it to close the power to the halos with the relay) just so heat would be managed in headlights. Doubt it would ever be a problem but no reason to have the halos on when headlights are anyways
