My cap isnt installed yet but wanted to see if our trucks sag with the added weight of a shell?

Its a regular leer shell going on a base 2015 access cab manual transmission.
Most of the time another few hundred pounds will also be on shell or in the back bed (kayaks and gear). I will be towing a small camper but not very often.
Im not looking to lift the truck but was curious on what yall thought.
If so, any recommendations to upgrade and keep a quality ride with minimal maintenance?

You can look into a bump stop helper like Sumo Springs. I eventually went to OME 95R leaf springs.

Between cap, toolbox and other gear, I carry about 300 lbs over stock weight constantly. I could have lived with that amount of sag but when I added a trailer and camping gear I'd hit the bump stops on mild bumps and the sag was visible. I installed a Roadmaster Active Suspension (RAS) six months ago. It solved the sag problem and greatly improved ride quality. The verdict is still out on off-road performance. RAS is supposedly not intended for off-road use. But for the forest service roads and trails we do I think maybe it'll be fine.

Seems interesting. I dont know much about either but seems like a better choice than air bags. I dont do any heavy offroad stuff only mountain trails and highway mainly
    Thanks for your input
