    Hello fellow Tacoma drivers!

Reaching out for advice on keeping cats from coming into the engine bay sleeping over night.

Long story short. I pulled a body out from my brand new RAV4 with only 500 miles on the odometer and it was basically a crime scene. It also tore up my sepatine belt, which resulted the vehicle at the dealership for replacement. So far costing $550 (before tax).

Im thinking of leaving my red Vietnamese chilli, chopped up with seeds scattered all around my drive way to see if that'll keep them away.

Any other advice? Thank you in advance.

Full skids and covers for all the openings. Or just check before you start your car.

Put a small dog in the engin at night but crack the hood a little so the cats have an exit

That anti rust oil spray is what I would use. Double action, fights rust and pussy.

I encouraged a cat to sleep on a front tire by placing a few treats on it from time to time. Just the lingering smell of a cat is enough to keep mice out of the engine bay. The cat jumps out when the door unlocks. I do NOT want to fix the knock sensor wiring again. Male cats hunt all rodents 24/7. I have zero mice now, while my closest neighbor, one acre away, has them everywhere, and a little yapping dog, which evidently dosen't scare a mouse.. He should prolly get a rat terrier.

That sir, is more of a crime scene than the mangled body.

Would strongly suggest looking for another facility to have your work done.

PS. Wondering if they think you are going to submit an insurance claim, so they are trying to cover lunch for the shop off your mishap?

Get a snake it's probably too cold outside for a snake if cats are taking refuge in your engine bay. Get a snake, I use to date a goth woman who volunteers at an animal shelter her name was Esmeralda. She also had a pet Burmese python when the shelter was overrun with too many kittens her python would get a special treat that week. She ended up having nightmares of snakes eating her and switched to an all vegan diet.

I warned the neighbors about me honking lightly in the morning. They understood my reason and have no issues with it. In fact, they're going to do the same.
