Great argument about the quantity. Ok, time to start watching some youtube reviews and see some sample footages

I installed 4k reolink poe cameras and their nvr for my home. Have had them for about a year now and haven't had any issues. But I've installed hundreds of hikvision poe cameras and haven't had hardly any issues with them either. I would recommend either brand.
Fyi... make sure you have a backup power supply or they are useless when power goes out.

You need this to power the NVR, Switch (and cameras), and router. In California, you may need several days worth to keep the system going during an outage.

The zmodo system doesn't package PTZ with their bundles but I don't see that as a problem. For me, PTZ is more to augment the important stuff your fixed cameras are watching. Might be a good idea to use a couple of different systems in case one doesn't catch something due to failure.

And for the hikvision I would just search "hikvision kit" and you will get plenty of options.

Dont be fooled by ptz... they are great... but a fixed 4k resolution camera will have just as good or better of a picture when digitally zoomed vs a 1080p ptz camera

You’ve bought SEMA’s kool aid hook line and sinker(or it could be argued that I’ve drank the OEM kool aid myself). But, OEM is, in fact built to much different specifications than aftermarket OE parts. It’s as simple as looking at your Napa axles versus your factory axles. The clamps are different, the boot material is different, the machining is of different values. Hell, you could open 10 boxes of Napa axles and find 4 different cv body styles. When you purchase an OEM part, the only time it will look differently from the part it is replacing is when it has been updated. OE Parts are most definitely not the same quality as OEM parts.

There are caveats to this of course.
Nippon-Denso or Denso are OE and OEM parts manufacturers. That means they make parts that the manufacturer originally installed on your vehicle but they also sell variants for the aftermarket that are less expensive. And this is where it gets muddy. Knowing who makes the part, where it’s made and how it’s made really help you here in how to justify what part to purchase.

There's no Kool-aid. It's just a matter of knowing where stuff comes from.

Ever been to a CV manufacturing plant in China? It’s interesting to see. In one section of the plant(where it can be argued that it is a clean room) you will find OEM cv components being manufactured and assembled. In this part of the plant, the employees are dressed nicely in uniforms, the floors are marked out appropriately for work flow and safety. The inspectors roam the packaging line. The machines used to produce the cv components are well maintained.

In another building at the plant, they will be building the OE cv’s that should be the aftermarket replacement for the OEM cv’s being made hundreds of meters away. The employees here don’t have the schnazzy uniforms or the safety lines on the floor. The floor is usually covered in machining chaff. The packaging line is an ever changing hodge podge of colorful boxes and hand cut “packaging shims”. The tooling and machinery here are decades old and in need of attention constantly.

I know this. I’ve been to two separate plants. This just happens to be a subject I am intimately knowledgeable about.

And they're made in Mexico too-NAFTA.

I guess you could be right. I mean we go through CV axles for a certain American mfg like water...
