So I was just out in the driveway (porch light and head lamp) changing my rear dif fluid and as I'm pulling out the tip of the last bottle I SWEAR (90%) I see the tip end (cut off tip of the bottle must not have sliced completely off)sink into all the new oil.
Should I just drain it out and search for a possible tip and refill?
If I don't find a tip when I drain it (day light for sure this time) what should I do?
Halp meh Taco World! You're my only hope.

Just drain it in a clean container so you can reuse it and keep flushing till it washes out

The correct way would be to drain and find the tip, but it's just the tip o_O

I guess I got all excited and prematurely ejac...wait wait
I guess I just got all happy when I saw the Amazon box with 3 quarts of https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NYB154W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 That I got for $7.51 a bottle (price shot up 3x after ordering)showed up.
I assumed that it was never changed before (The old stuff looked awful but at least no chunky metal shavings).
Next time I'll definately have the proper mood lighting (sun) before I go to town on that sweet sweet Taco's rear end again.
Guess I'll hit up Wally World after work tomorrow and get an open drain pan and another quart of synthetic 75w-90 (supertech this time)

Its a small piece of plastic with metal gears that will grind it into nothingness and your diff will be fine.
If your really worried you could drain it and try to find the plastic bit then refill the diff.

Leave it. It's not gonna ever be an issue.

Change it next year if your OCD bothers you.

I'm assuming your fkin with me as everything I've read beforehand said sythetic gl5 is fine for open difs and that its the transmission that will slowly mess up if you use higher than gl4 because of the yellow metals/limited slip additives reacting :bananadead:
