Fox 3-tube piggyback resi location

I purchased Fox 16” smooth body shocks for my DMZ sua kit. I finally got to the shock mock up stage Friday afternoon only to find out the resi hose contacts my DMZ bedcage, and wont allow my shock to mount in place. Called Accutune to order triple bypass piggyback shocks to eliminate that problem (1.5 weeks out fml). Now I’m concerned that the resi will contact the bed cage. All the photos I find on the web appear to be the same generic stock photo of a 8” or 10” stroke shock with the top of the resi even with the bottom of the cap. I cant find a single photo of an actual 16”. I want to know if the resis mount lower on the body of a 16” shock? These shocks have a rotating cap, which would allow me to rotate 90 inboard, but I’m not in love with that idea. Anybody own these shocks, or laid eyes on them? I have an email in to Accutune, but this shit is stressing me out.

 

Fox technical manual, and exploded view depict a 2-tube 2.5 shock that may not represent the actual layout of the resi.

Call DMZ and ask Tim if he has ever ran into this issue? He is a very knowledgeable and helpful guy. He will know exactly what is and isn't compatible with his parts.

I should have updated the thread a few days ago. I got in touch with Accutune, and they sent me a photo of the shocks. Looks as though they will clear. However Kings do have a much greater distance between cap, and resi. Fingers crossed they ship tomorrow. My truck is in limbo until the shocks are mocked up. Thank you for the reply.

 

Foxs top bolts to turn the caps is legit no need to worry there. They use that on big 4.0” shocks too.
