Happy Veterans Day Brothers! Finally found the PA thread and just got my first Tacoma after trading in the old Dodge Ram. The streets of New Enterprise, PA won't be the same, they'll be better in the Tacoma!

1/2 inch this morning. I'm right on the line of 1-2/3-6. Interstate 80 does a good job of shoving the snow north of me for whatever reason. Usually 1" at home and 3" by the time i get to work. In actually wanted to see how these nitto terra grapplers would work out in some snow. Roads are clear though. Glad I got the fluid film though, ridiculous amount of salt down.

Fluid film isn't like POR-15 or any real treatment. It is more of a preventative thing. Never too late to prevent salt from making contact with your shit. Get it to a carwash and get the undercarriage good. Spray all the salt you can off and give it hell. I usually make my appointment in early sept, and this year couldn't get in until mid october. People are finding out about the guy i use. He is ridiculously anal about the application, but that is a good thing in my eyes, and apparently everyone elses. No business phone or anything, just word of mouth and it take 6 weeks to get in. I'm sure his summer is pretty slow though.

We skipped the snow thankfully, so no salt here. Although I did find it interesting the other day when we had rain and was calling for freezing temps at night MDOT threw a bunch of salt down. Soon as I got over the line into Maryland I was like "why the Hell does it feel like I'm driving on gravel!?" As much as I hate the salt I wish Penndot would be a little more proactive like this. Not trying to bash them, but they seriously lack around here.

    Working on it
Was just wet on my drive in, but I was at work before the temperatures started dropping.

Also got fluid film done over the weekend. Just in time.

I had salt that night as well, we got a tiny blast of lake effect though. From time to time the bands will reach here. We got an inch in an hour and then nothing. The surface temp was too high for anything to stick. I hate salt. When I was in wisconsin they would plow then throw sand/cinders down. It was too cold for salt to melt. As long as you drove respectfully knowing it was packed snow underneath the conditions weren't too bad. But everyone drives too fast for that to work in PA. PennDOT would be sued the first storm. I can live with salt, but that brine they use really seems to be bad for vehicles.

I think I might actually know who that is, but the guy I'm thinking of doesn't use FF but some other lanolin-based solution that is super thick and black in color.
I know somebody who went to him but his appointments were booked up like three months out.
