I recently purchased a set of new Tacoma 2020 TRD Pro Wheels. Center caps should be here by the end of the week and I really want to have them installed. I'm moving to Canada in a few months and I want as much time as I can get to sell the TRD Off-Road rims, I have no use for them as I have a set of steel OEM Tacoma SR wheels for snow tires.

Toyota has not yet released the damn black lug nuts for these rims. The black wheel locks are out but the black lug nuts are not lol.

These wheels are not gloss black like the old TRD Pro wheels but they're not exactly matte black, I see it as more of a satin finish. The finish on the lug nuts doesn't have to be perfectly matching just don't want gloss black lug nuts on opaque rims.

What lug nut and wheel lock combo do you guys recommend?

These are the ones I have found so far:
    https://www.amazon.com/TOYOTA-FACTORY-NUTS-12x1-5-BLACK/dp/B004GJBTEC

My other options would be to put on some sort of lug nut covers I can put on my current lug nuts while I wait for Toyota to release the black ones. Anyone used those things before?

    Pics of the new rims:

    Thanks

Order 90942-01077. They're probably not quite as nice a finish as the TRD Pro ones will be, but they're factory black nuts that will fit the wheels.

I can see a set of those in my future. Today I sold the 20s off my f150 and have some wheel money.

Hi I am new to these forums as well as the Tacoma side. Loving this side btw. I was following these threads over the last couple of weeks as I want to pro my OR out a little. I just bought the wheels and center caps this morning. I too am looking for the lug nuts. As nice as these wheels are going to look I would really like the lug nuts to be a little different and I won’t have to wait on the black ones. Maybe you experts can help and tell me the size of the lugs if you know and if something like these would work?980DFB20-4CEB-4786-9839-64F4B9F4B90F.jpg

Those won’t work on the OEM Pro wheels, they need to have the flat seat with a washer like OEM lugs do. The ones you posted would be for aftermarket wheels.

    Are lug nuts usually aluminum?

Those wheels look nice on your pick up. Love the green. I still haven’t seen one driving around yet. So where did you buy the rims from? What did they cost? I like the older 4 runner wheels but I may just settle for these. I wanna see these wheels with bigger wheels and see what it looks like.

Thanks Sub_Par. Just trying to see what my options are for multi colored lugs if that is even a thing?

Those are pictures I found online of a 2020 PRO in green. I have a cement Tacoma TRD Off-Road.

Toyota of Puyallup for the best price on wheels:
    https://parts.norwalktoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-taco-trd-pro-whl-pt9463520002
Use coupon code HALFOFFSHIP for 50% off shipping. Significant discount considering these are wheels(heavy).

Norwalk Toyota for the best price on center caps:
    https://parts.norwalktoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-tacoma-trd-pro-cente-pt3853520002

Had better lucking finding a good deal on 2020 TRD PRO wheels compared to the old TRD PRO wheels.

I noticed the pro wheels having these multicolored lug nuts on wheels at the dealership and now looking at someone else’s pro I saw that they aren’t black, rather multicolored.

Not multicolored, they are chrome plated and what your seeing is paint from the factory. They mark the lugs and bolts one they’ve been torqued to spec so they know it’s been done. It’s a quality control thing that the factory does.

Yeah, I didn't pay that much for them, I found them on sale somewhere. Still, quality locking black lugs!
