4Runner Heated Mirrors Package for Second Generation Tacoma: $350

This is a mod for Second Generation Tacomas that gives you heated mirrors with a variable timer, turn signal indicators on each mirror, and puddle lights than turn on when you hit the door unlock button on your remote (the puddle lights are wired to the dome light circuit which is activated when you hit the door unlock button on your remote.)

For sale: Entire package you need to install heated mirrors, turn signal indicators, puddle lights, and power mirror controls in a second generation Tacoma (2011? to 2015).

This package is ready to install. All you have to do is make the base swap with your OEM mirror bases and connect the wiring. The threads below have step by step instructions on how to make the base swap and connect the wires. Estimated time for kit install is 5-7 hours.

The mirrors themselves have minor barely noticeable scuffs from being carefully handled by me while I did the mods to them. They are not 100% perfect. I would say 98-99%.

Price for Package: $350 Face to Face Northern VA.
$370 if you want the OEM wire crimper also.

Shipping is at buyers expense and choice.

I purchased the mirrors on eBay from Rock Auto. They are not OEM Toyota mirrors. They are new aftermarket mirrors. I realize I no longer have the time to do this mod so I am selling off the kit that I made.

This is what you will be receiving:

    1. The left and right heated mirrors with turn signals and puddle lights.

    2. Two Toyota Mirror Controls. One control has the mirror fold button converted to "momentary on" per the upgrade thread. The other control is a black round micro switch momentary on push button. You can use either, and keep the other as a spare. They both work identically but you only need one for a Tacoma. Pick and use the one you like best. This mirror control replaces your OEM mirror control and gives you the mirror fold button which now acts as a momentary on switch to trigger the mirror heat circuit.

    3. The complete wiring harnesses to convert from 4 Runner to Tacoma. Both wiring harnesses were built by me and feature complete labeling and also include color coded wiring diagrams on both harnesses to identify the unique wire colors to install the upgrade. The harnesses have water resistant connectors installed to allow easy removal of mirrors if needed. I purchased the OEM crimper to crimp all the wire connectors and leads. If you want the crimper you can have it for an additional $20.

    4. You will also receive the Hella timer relay for the heated mirror circuit which is currently set for ~8 minutes. The relay can be set from ~1 minute to up to 15 minutes by the dip switch setting and the rotary timer dial.

    5. All the spares I have for connectors and wiring left over from building the wire harnesses.

    6. Both mirror puddle lights have been swapped for high lumen LED's already. The upgraded LED lights are already installed and the positive wire for the LED's is marked at BOTH ends of the harness, and also at the bulb socket. LED lights are polarity sensitive, so you must connect the puddle lights positive to positive and negative (ground) to negative.

    7. You will also receive a Single Pole, Single Throw LED switch that allows you to cancel the heated mirror function if you so desire. Normally this is not needed, but I wanted to have it in case I wanted to reset the Hella timer by breaking the battery circuit. So I included the SPST switch in the schematic. The SPST switch installation is depicted in the included schematic.

You should not have to purchase ANYTHING to install these mirrors on your second gen Tacoma. Simply follow the installation instructions in the thread for the Mirror upgrade, which requires you to switch YOUR OEM mirror bases to the 4 runner bases and you should be off and running with heated mirrors, turn signals, and puddle lights.

I will also include the wiring diagram for the heated mirror circuit (pictured).

    A really good thread:

The entire package is sold as is. I tested all the circuits and wiring with a 12V source and everything works as advertised. I will be happy to answer questions if you have them after purchase or during install.

Nice! That’s worth it for that price. I have most of it just need to get a timer and build a wiring harness. Nice having it all ready.

Don't you have more time getting everything to this point than it will take to complete the install?

Yes. Except for the fact that I am selling the truck and already am driving the new truck I just bought. The Tacoma is just sitting at the curb in front of the house crying. I can't bear the thought of installing mirrors at this point. Best to just ghost her.
