    I do. It wouldn't tighten down because of bad riv-nuts. it was gong to rain, so I pulled it off and filled the holes with silicone till good weather would come

    Use copious amount of anti seize on bolts n washers to reduce friction. Black RTV or black roofing urethane work well as a sealant. Then use pipe dope to seal threads on the bolts.

    Instead of or in conjunction with teflon tape, it's used to seal threaded fittings in piping.
