I didn't get the one that you mentioned, but something similar in functionality. I got this one
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072VGJ7S8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Mainly because it comes with lifetime updates, but it does cost few bucks more.

They're good, just make sure you get a "Kill-a-Watt" or similar watt meter to check out your fridge. I have two generators that I can parallel, a Sportsman 800w and a Yamaha EF2000is (1,600w). Together they can put out a constant 2,400watts (3,000 surge hah).

A friend's place, their fridge is the older style Top and Bottom freezer/fridge and it drew more than 1,000 watts to start up, I had to use the Yamaha instead. To help with motor/compressor/high initial drain applications, you can get a soft start capacitor or module (Schneider Electric, Raymond Innovations). The Capacitors will charge up slowly and release their energy whenever there's a dip to help the electric motor get up to speed without bogging down on your generator.

    *bing* *bong*

Inverter generators are just the best because they're so quiet on ECO. They're even better if you put them in an insulated box and add a small 2-stroke moped muffler.

lol, I was going to mention you when nDub mentioned this. But yeah, those are good units, I would just say make sure you do extra oil changes in the beginning. Typically these motors are "licensed" by that company through Yamaha but when made through a cheap manufacturer, they usually don't take the extra care to clean the castings. Even my Yamaha EF2000is came up with a lot of flecks of metal when I got it new in 2010.

It's pretty nice if it's still there. I paid a visit last year. There're lights hung inside and it's a great place to sleep without the wind bothering you.

    Congrats dood!

Found this sweet camper shell from Craigslist a few months ago for $50. Replaced the struts $10, new seals $10, painted the inside black for $10.

Camping last month with some pew pew action with the shell and I dig it! too bad my air bed sustained multiple leaks due to my overexcitment and carelessness.

But I picked up some plywood today and plan on DIYing a sleep platform. Man it’s crazy how a camper shell can resurrect an old taco.

Also follow-up on the 5100’s all around with 881 coils setup, I changed out the the Dakar’s full leaf pack with a Toytec 3 AAL onto the original. Man this baby rides smooth and handles great on and off road. Still about 4” in the rear and 3” in the front with a nice rake. Rides better that my 3rd gen Sports

I have an aluminum platform I built for my 1st gen 6 foot bed. I no longer need it. It's been serving as a shelf for the past few months. It's pretty light...maybe 30 - 35 pounds. I had 3/8" plywood on top. It's survived a lot of offroading including 2 trips to Baja and 2 trips to Utah.
I have the fridge slide for it too, now that I'm thinking of it.
$200 for the whole thing if you're interested. I want to say the materials were around $400 or something. I still have the drawer but it's a POS. I was going to burn it.

With a fridge slide you said...I would be interested, are you good with a time frame of mid December for purchase and pickup? I gotta squeeze in a little OT for this.

For sure. I'm going to Baja for the next 2 weeks anyway. And I'll have some time to clean it up.

So the fridge slide rolls on skateboard bearings. It works really well. It's just not "smooth". and I replaced the plywood in the picture with 1/16" aluminum. Much lighter.

    Some really cool shit
And this is exactly why I bought the companion Honda inverter/generator. Turns out, however, that my new LG energy efficient fridge doesn't do that. Ran it on one unit last power outage. Because of that, I have purchased a 30 amp fuse, 30 amp plug, and 50 feet of 10/2 wire to rig it up right to my main breaker box, and the two gensets.
