    I haven't touched them. They still make a little bit of a knocking noise on occasion. I don't even notice most of the time. They're still grossly over-tourqued too. The bushings have not compressed noticably, if at all. I'm very happy I did this mod.

    I loved the M55s. Mpgs were good. Traction was great in all conditions. They had just enough squish when aired down too. I have no idea how many miles I got out of them. I run separate sets of tires for summer and winter. My only complaint about them is that the center tread strip is on a raised block. This strip wears smooth long before the outer lugs wear down, making for a loud, high pitch ride on road. They're heavy and expensive too, but I can live with those factors.

    I'm now on Dean Backcountry MTs in the same size. So far I like them, but mpgs are not as good as with the M55s. They're about the same price, quite a bit shorter (32.8"), and have a more aggressive tread.

    The M55 has a narrow tread patch - narrower than the overall width of the tire. This means less rolling resistance on road, and less rubbing inside the wheel well. I'm seriously considering going back to the M55. They're 33.5 inches tall, smooth driving, and tough as nails. It's a very tall tire that performs well and fits cleanly inside the wheel well on a Tacoma with no serious modification.
