Been redoing my garage for a while now. Almost done, last step is to epoxy coat the floors and a new counter top for my workbench. Before and after7A1AE2AB-9821-40C3-965E-23CE4C9B61C7.jpgF01464F4-9370-4A25-8236-5218B7C32CC8.jpgAA5F34B1-1317-4A17-AE32-EFD44EFD26C0.jpg

Not a Black Friday deal but looks like folks are loving the US General boxes out of Harbor Freight.

If you look in the HF thread, there’s some articles comparing them to major brands and they come out pretty good.

    A thing or two...
The 44" HF lower cabinet is going to be on sale for $400. Their 30" 5-drawer carts are going to be $180, but there's a current coupon with a price of $170.

    Unfortunately
Honestly though this is the most unorganized my garage has ever been because of all the work ive done. Were both really big into keeping it organized and clean

I absolutely love my US General series 2 stuff.

I don’t know what your budget is, but a 44” or 56” has a lot of expansion options and is built well! Prices vary from great to good with coupons and sale promos.

44” Series 2 and the end cabinet addition and I was still under or around $600.

Then I added the side locker about 2-3 weeks ago. EE7D4EBD-9E8E-4D7B-9455-BE1FCA1DC2D9.jpg

Yep, they come with hardware. They have a flange on the side that allows them to hook onto the lip on the top of the box (or the end cabinet which you can mount to another end cabinet), then 2 bolts up top and 2 bolts below.

So the add on storage hangs from the flange and allows the bolts to go in easy. Everything lines up great, too. Very easy to mount.

Meh, theres still room to work in there. Ive been in plenty of garages just like that where the owner knows where everything is and still gets crap done. Then ive gone to "clean" garages where the owner doesnt know where tools are cause they never do anything there.

Definitely a chess game right now. First fix was lighting. Then wood rack. Then bench. I just put a shed next to it for garden stuff, and once I pack that before it starts raining, I can put up bike racks on the garage wall. Then attack the mountain of boxes half of which are books and household and kid stuff to still process for keep or toss. Then a couple cabinets that will likely go the the basement. Then I should be able to get the trailer in. Then I'll tear it all down and build a new custom one once I can get that planned and bid.
