So I got a quote from a mobile gear installer out of riverside, Premier West Gears. I’ll attach a pic of my messages. Anyone ever use them? And are Revolution gears the same manufacturers as Nitro? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks35F3D37E-1B4F-4E5C-AA0C-890A304F71B6.jpg

Sounds too good to be true? How about the brand of gears? Is Revolution the same as Nitro as he stated ?

I read his yelp reviews. Sounds like thats his average price. I am pretty skeptical. I just don’t know anything about Revolution gear, although they have the part on their website for almost the same price as nitro.

Finding an axle installer on Yelp seems a bit different. Revolution has only been in business since 2012 so I would be skeptical of any claims they are the same as Nitro. Just because they come from the same factory doesn't mean they have the same quality control measures.

Revolution's website lists the gears you want for $1200 retail. Someone coming to you installing them for $1800 is doing a lot of work for $600 of labor. I paid a lot more for my Nitro Gears and install with a friends and family discount that I was totally good with. Somewhere something doesn't add up and your drive axle is not the place to gamble

I agree, something isn't adding up.

i just paid $1700 to have both my diffs rebuilt with 5.29's and a Spartan locker up front

currently on day 3 of the install. I'm not the fastest but it's a lot of hours for $600

It's adding up, unwarranted parts and underpaid labor equals cheap install. Just doesn't add up to a good idea.

I messaged 2 of their customers, and their Facebook page looks legit. But I get it, I’m gonna need to make sure they re legit and won’t gamble with my truck

Call the truck shop on Miramar and get a real quote for install in your own area. Then ask @Speed Freek for the same thing.

Sometimes the warranty is what you actually pay for.

Did you end up using them? I am contemplating using them or mobile gear installers. Apparently they are related.

I have not yet. I was gonna wait until after the holidays. I found that the biggest difference is the warranty. I may pay a little more for piece of mind. But have yet to decide. So far everyone I’ve contacted who have used them likes the experience.

IF that's parts and labor, verify it's not a per axle price........... That sorta sounds like they are doing both.

Pretty sure that’s for both when I called to ask. I may also get front lockers but will have to weigh in the prices and warranties

Funny, because I called them as well and debating on having them do an install as well. Been researching the shit out of them and they appear to come off pretty legit.
I mentioned i wanted 5.29 Nitro because I'm running 37's, Martin the owner/ installer said to use 4.88 Revolution because 5.29 has less teeth and are more prone to breaking.
Also mentioned i wanted a solid spacer instead of a crush sleeve because I've already been through 4 sets of G2 gears in less than a year. That apparently my gears are pulling apart front to much power and torch, yet I have nothing fancy done to my truck
Just a 4.0 with intake, headers, and exhaust with a pedal commander.

Weird why they would recommend 4.88 when Nitro's recommends 5.29. Talked with Nitro guys and they said 5.29 is the best route for anything bigger than 33's or if you have weight and they said there was no issues with the 5.29. Never heard of a properly regeared being more prone to breaking due to less teeth. I can see that if it wasn't properly regeared and the wear is uneven though.
