Looking to get one of these for my DCLB for sleeping in the truck bed in winter and understand they're quite popular. Any user experiences out there? Particularly w/r/t 1) leaks/punctures/holding air, 2) how the bed sleeps (more like foam or more like an air bed) and 3) inflating/deflating/storage and general ease of use. I have a Leer cap but I'm worried mainly about how durable these things are since it'll be in close proximity to ski gear. Wanted to double check with the forum before pulling the trigger.

I do a lot of winter camping in the Canadian Rockies, Interior BC, and East Coast and use a Thermarest NeoAir Xtherm, which is fine for ski touring but I'm looking for something that is a little larger and more comfortable to keep in the back of the truck since I don't want to build a platform.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    I wanted an MT.
I have one and love it. We have the mega mat duo for our tent... it sleeps like a memory foam mattress and was worth every penny. Two years and no leaks, good nights sleep, I recommend fitting a sheet on t before you go camping... just makes it a little nicer

love mine, ive even punctured it on accident folding it up in my tent pinched the sides of it, still slept great and was easy to fix. Just have to remember to let it start inflating when you get to camp

I've got one as well, have only had it in the woods twice, but it's a game changer for car camping. I would say it's more similar to my bed at home than a typical sleeping pad. The foam core also helps a lot with insulating you on cooler nights. The only downside for me is that Exped recommends you store the mat with both valves open, and not rolled up. For me that means it's behind my closet door which makes going in and out a bit of a squeeze, if you're not in an apt. I imagine this is a non-issue.
