I am looking for the the Running Board, I have couple of questions/asks:

    - If you have it installed please could you share/post some pictures, I haven't been able to find any

    - What is the different between the new model PT767-35190 vs the old one PT767-35190? I found on Amazon P/N: PT767-35160, the dealers charge to much for shipping.

    Thanks

Check your local dealer. They may have a competitive price.

I made a list of Toyota accessories I wanted and my dealer was competitive on the pricing.
With sales tax it was a little more but nowadays most internet sellers are required to charge you the local sales tax anyway.

Thank you, what is the size of the bolts? I am buying a torque wrench and some tools to install it.

I also read somewhere that it is good to put some thread lock to them?

Do you have to use a thread locker with the bolts at installation? To ensure they will not get loose? Thanks

I just picked this up from my dealer- got them to price match an online dealer with the lowest shipping price I’ve seen $34 (for shipping)! They said i had to include shipping as an “apples to apples” comparison which I didn’t find making sense since I’d be picking directly up from them and they would be shipping it. Then they said it would be that price plus tax. Told them that apples to apples works both ways so they dropped the price enough that when adding tax it was the same as the online price.

the boards include hardware brackets and bolts. Of the 2 sizes one already had what looked like red locktite so I don’t think anything additional is needed. It didn’t have instructions included- which is why I found this thread.

Hello, can you post pictures of the hardware? Also, which size would you say had the red locktite?

Pictures of the brackets? The m6 (smaller of the 2) had the locktite. Those seem to be the ones attached to the actual board. Nothing on the m8 but Ill probably put a dab of anti seize

Oh, no need for the pics—my bad for not being clearer on that. But did you torque to specs per instructions?

I just picked it up yesterday so I haven’t installed them yet. I need to remove some overspray on the rockers and touchup some rock chips 1st but when I do install I will be torquing to spec

Please let me know how that goes. I torque one and the bolt snapped off. I even started a thread on it but I think it might have been due to the torque wrench I used.

Which did you break (I’m guessing head snapped off)? The m6 goes into aluminum so I’d figure you’d just strip the threads and the m8 is pretty thick and it gets torqued to like 17 ft lbs which isn’t a lot so I’d definitely think your wrench is off a lot

    m6-7ft lbs
    M8-17ft lbs

Yeah, I figured the torque wrench was off.

Install was a breeze. Most time consuming was removing the overspray and touching up all the rock chips on the rockers. Kind of shoddy touchup but it’s not seen and it’s not riddled with white chip marks.

followed the instructions on which to torque first and retorque everything after. I did add a little dab of anti seize on the m8 bracket to rocker bolts.
