That might explain some of the massive price hike. Yew!

From 2018 to 2019 about 400 bucks I think on the base SR.

    From 2019 to 2020 it's about $4k.

If you were local, I would be asking you to bet on that one. I think you might be comparing what some people paid to what the sticker price is. The base price of the trucks (SR model) didn't go up 4k

Yes it did. The SR 2wd with utility package used to clock in at $23k and change. Now it's comes in at $27k (Toyota.com). Kind of obnoxious.

Of course, the configurator tool is still buggy, so I reserve the right to be wrong (lol)

Almost the same. Doesn't display the tpms, only has the warning light.

Good job! Glad you got the intermittent in, just in time for fall weather. A must have for us here in Oregon too.
I need the keyless entry also, I have given up on finding a passenger door handle that accepts a key so will have to have a FOB. Just starting looking around on that, would like to have a plug and play without having to tap wires etc.

This changed my life! Not having intermittent wipers was really tweaking my ocd! Thanks for the pics and part number. The whole thing took 5 minutes

Thanks Moe! I just ordered my intermittent wiper switch tonight, annoying not to have intermittent in a light rain like we often have. While I have the steering wheel covers off to replace the wiper switch, I'm also going to check to see if I'm pre-wired for fog lights.
I bought my switch here, since I wanted to buy some spare grommets for my Weathertech mud flaps I will install soon for SR (no flares), only 0.65 each here:
    https://toyotaparts.mcgeorgetoyota....9dGFjb21hJnk9MjAxOSZ0PXNyJmU9Mi03bC1sNC1nYXM=
$120.88 plus ~12.50 shipping, so about the same cost as on Amazon shipped. I will report back on how this purchase and installation went. Thanks again!

Have you looked into N2Designs offerings? My SR is a standard key, bought his kit and it was plug and play. Works fantastic.

Try this thread for a Southeast Toyota Distributers developed keyless entry for 2018-2019 SR with electric door locks (I have my eye on this as well for my 2019 SR). P/N 00016-32912.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/keyless-entry-for-2017-sr.566106/

This one lists it as for 2016-2019 Tacoma SR with electric door locks:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Toyota-Keyless-Entry-System-2016-2019-Tacoma-00016-32912-/262507416538

Note that there are different instructions depending on your model year. It's fairly involved from looking at the instructions but doable with basic skills. Here are the instructions for my 2019 SR:
    http://toyotaparts.sparkstoyota.com/install/00016-32912inst-19Tacoma.pdf

I can't find instructions for 2018 SR, but you can call them and ask, it's likely the same as the 2019. They seem to have the same part cheaper here, but not sure if only one fob or two are included:
    https://www.sparksparts.com/accessories-and-aftermarket-parts-keyless-entry-system-00016-32912
Provide them your VIN# and they can confirm if it will work for you. Good luck!

What exactly is keyless entry? My Taco key has a builtin remote with lock / unlock buttons. But since the buttons are on the key surely it can't be "keyless". So what the hell is "Keyless entry" ??

My SR has the utility package and comes with a standard H key, no fobs. I don’t know if other SR trim levels have no fobs. Keyless meaning using a remote.

It should be called "Remote Entry", not "Keyless Entry". I use my key to remotely enter my Taco, that's not "Keyless". o_O

On the SR models without convenience pkg option you have to put the key in the door to unlock the truck. Additionally there is no entry into the locked truck from the passenger side without first unlocking from the driver side. Under certain circumstances can be annoying to put it politely.

It was a pain in the ass at times.
After the wiper mod I put in the N2 Designs remote start keyless entry kit in my truck. It took all of 2hrs to install.
