    Gate was open! We started at Musterground Road in the parking lot for Foothills Trail Lower Falls. We drove Musterground until we reached the left turn for Auger Hole. We drove AHR until it turned into Chestnut Mountain and rode that all the way back to the parking lot for Turtleback Falls.

    @synaps3 did a write-up here, so I put mine .

    And just because they need to be aware of this thread. @Sprocket1505 and @r0bn8or rounded out our crew.

    That's badass. I was thinking about going to Uwharrie this weekend, but I may make this run instead just to do it before they put the gate back up.

    The trail closes January 2nd. This is a legit camp spot on the trail.

    There are about four more spots not quite as nice as that one further up near the top of the mountain, but much more secluded and also with water access.

    Not under this specific thread subject, but are there cool roads to ride in Sumter forest north of cola?

    Yeah, I'd like to find some more roads like HPR, MGR, and CMR. There are some FSR around here with sideshoots that can get interesting. Got stuck as fuck one day in a clay pit just off one.

    Closing wed, Jan 1. Open again March 20th.

    Not sure what all is closed over at CM. If they have a gate right at the end of the parking lot or what.

    Main trail the HP should be open but all side gates closed.

    They do have a gate near the entrance, but I have never seen it closed.

    I need to get back out there, but got other stuff that has to get done this weekend. :(

    I wonder which trail he is talking about that goes to Gorges, if it's the one that is typically closed.

    idk.
    I was always under the impression that all gates are open until the end of hunting season.
