Looking for people who have had experience with this device or one similar:

    https://get.spytec.com/gl300-buy-no...MI9OyNsLGI5gIVUr7ACh2AJA5BEAAYASAAEgKTZvD_BwE

I've had a few chat sessions at their web site and it would appear there are far more places that you CAN'T place the device than where you can.

Was hoping to place it in the rear section of a late model 4Runner. Small compartment back there where tire tools are. Would be a good hiding place. Was told not to place in an enclosed area. Was also told that I could hide it under either front seat, and possibly the rug under these seats, but there was uncertainty about rug thickness being a problem.

Not interested in an OBD connection or using a magnetic case mounted to outer frame rails. AAA flat tire repair guy or someone else could easily see this. Also not interested in tampering with wiring.

Explored cell phone tracking software, but all require access to phone which has a pin, so that's not going to happen.

I don't really need a lot of the real-time features that some of these products boast. Just need to see where the vehicle is when I logon and request it's location.

    Thoughts appreciated.
