they are sending me a 3rd replacement set....

The 3rd set that are on there, I had to aim, and spent a ton of time sealing with clear RTV. still ended up with condensation.

It sucks, because I love the output that they provide. With their stock bulbs the cutoff is very sharp and the headlights look great.

I decided that I’m inevitably getting a cargo box, that I should start by moving my traction boards to my bed rack.

thankfully I designed it for 3/8” cartridge bolts, so mounting took about 5 min, with most of the time rummaging around for long enough bolts.

You’re pretty much “Chux: bed rack edition”. I like it!

haha basically! It’s inevitable that trucks end up similarly, if they’re use for similar things lol

I’m still planning to mount a table under my RTT as well lol

Scored this yesterday! Stoked to have more dry storage and free up space elsewhere

came with a missing key, but I have a ton of spare lock cores so no biggie there.

I almost got one of those! But thought they were a bit longer so I didn’t want it to overhang on the front

Did a bunch of stuff today, starting with adding extra straps around my awning, the built in straps are sagging a bit

Painted my snorkel A pillar bracket

Removed my firewood box and cleaned/ waxed my roof

Mounted the cargo box and tested that a bike fit up there next to it. There’s just enough space to make it work!

Finally got those @Marlin Crawler HD braces burned in thanks to @Skell

We discovered a number of issues along the way, including how my IFS skid was rubbing on the bottom of my front diff, and that my RCI offroad LCA skids we’re rubbing on my LCA frame mount!

I have a number of photos on my camera, but here are the ones from my phone for now:

    0C2CEE46-43F7-493D-93EE-41633E01C2E2.jpg

Had to drop the IFS skid first. The weld nut in my crossmember broke, and the bolt was stuck.

it can’t be stuck if it got turned to a liquid:

    10E5947A-AE8F-4783-B31E-C01E29C2F3F0.jpg

And boom, the first time the IFS skid was dropped in about 2 years

    2FE58490-2701-4A8A-9CD0-8FE15C7E14DD.jpg

Spent some time scraping the crud off, while Tony bent my cam tabs into place

    B43633B7-B654-4395-A1A0-D0DE38D23A89.jpg

after scraping, this is where I noticed the wear marks on the IFS skid

    5B0D1EC8-965E-4A79-BA4D-33B96FA92D45.jpg

Verified on my diff. Also, I know my Drivers Side CV seal is leaking lol

    711E7B99-6AF6-4013-8A5C-F13738D1AE68.jpg

We had an idea to fix this issue, while solving the broken weld nut in the crossmember issue.

Tony moved onto tacking the stuff in place

    D6736B5D-A951-4BEF-8440-3E561E60B3AE.jpg

I got to cleaning up the LCA skids with the wire wheel

    FE7251E9-C947-471F-B73E-7536C193B8A0.jpg

Took a break and went for a quick rip in this thing!

    AF684BF0-E121-4580-94C7-BEEC36BB403F.jpg

Painted the top of the IFS Skid. Oil and dirt kept my original paint pretty good!

    7F5B1CB8-1B5E-4D18-85AB-CC9B4F3DBFD4.jpg

Then marked where the LCA skids needed to be trimmed - note the wear marks from the LCA and frame mount - both sides were like this.

    2543DB28-79E3-44C4-BDCD-64E46D2FB401.jpg

Tony finished up the cam tab braces! I painted them while we moved on to drilling out the weld nuts for the cross member bolts

    FED4E4E7-A9FE-435E-AF5A-6D8D6D785DCF.jpg

Tony had the great idea of welding unistrut 3/8” nuts on in place of the original Weld nuts. This will allow new larger bolts to be used, and space the skid off the front diff.

    1B191707-95CC-45BF-8454-9EA32602E1A1.jpg

We drilled the holes out, and he tacked then on with a bolt threaded through the unitsrut to ensure we were centered.

then we fitted the IFS skid and we were done for the day!

Trimmed where they needed to be trimmed. They were rubbing so bad in the LCA mount it flared and bent the ear
