Now that I got your attention hopefully I can get your help.

Needing recommendations on a new coffee machine setup for the kitchen. I am the primary user but will occasionally have people over and need to make more then one or 2 cups. I was looking at a couple of drip/espresso combo machines but I didn’t know If anyone had any experience with them. I’m not dead set on that style it just fit my lifestyle better then a 10-12 cup drip one. Lastly I wont use k-cups

    WHAT DO YOU USE?

Edit.... 90% of the time 2 cups or less are made in my house daily... don’t NEED 10-12 cup machines but sometimes I entertain and need to make a full pot....

This looks great but 90% of the time only 1-2 cups of coffee get made in my house... hence why I’m looking at something like an espresso/drip combo or something?

I typically make a half a pot with this unit. Six cups.

I looked at the K-Cup thingie and just couldn't get behind all the waste generated every time you brew a cup.

I hope you find something suitable!

We had a K-cup machine and the money/trash that was wasted wasn’t worth it to me. I like our ninja coffee bar thing we have now but I also kind of want an espresso machine without breaking the bank.

Aeropress, essentially self cleaning and makes a hell of a cup. Plus it’s perfect for camping/traveling as well

I have an older model of the Ninja Coffee bar. Had it for around 4 years now and it works great. You can do single serve or brew into a pot. Has settings for iced coffee too, you brew it over ice and it brews a stronger concentration so when the ice melts you don't have diluted coffee.

Yes I currently have one of those. I’m currently looking for other options since I might not have that option soon.

New (to me) Tacoma owner. None at this time. Stock, but changes are planed in the future.
    I like the "Mr. Coffee".
Set the timer so it's ready every morning. I make 1/2 a pot. Fills my 2 travel mugs. I've had it many, many years. I can make regular strength or "Strong". There's a button for each. I've used the BUNN, a French Press and others. The "Mr. Coffee" seems to last longer than other "Automatic Drip Coffee Makers" in my opinion.

Buy a French press and never buy another coffee maker in your life.

    None... yet.
Yeah I’d second the Bunn. I usually only make a couple of cups a day too (on mine the minimum fill line is four little cups, which works out to about two of the mugs I drink).

I’ve had a couple espresso machines and one espresso/drip combos (can’t remember the brand sadly) and I gotta say in my (admittedly limited) experience it’s simply not worth it getting the cheaper models. Those things are kinda finicky, they clog and gum up unless you’re spending more time cleaning it than you are drinking what it produces (I may be being a bit hyperbolic there but you get my meaning). And I don’t think they make a great coffee. I’m sure there are good ones out there, but every one I’ve had I’ve been frustrated with.

If you really want something small for when you only need a cup or two, get a french press. Then have whatever regular drip machine you like for when you need to brew a full pot. I like the Bunn because no matter how big a pot I need, it’s ready in a few minutes. But I love pressed coffee too... I just don’t usually have the luxury of spending the time each morning, what with my thirty-five pound boss demanding I make various breakfast foods he’ll then refuse to eat.

That’s part of what I’m dealing with also. Time... I’m already waking up at 430ish to spend 12ish hours away from the house. Don’t know if spending time pressing is where I wanna be but it’s an option.
