    None (yet)
Hey y'all got a noob question concerning 4lo on my new/used 2018 Tacoma. I recently bought a 2018 TRD Off Road, and my Tacoma for the previous 13 years was a 2wd. The Toyota I had before the 2wd was 4wd but a 94 with locking hubs and just 4h and 4l. As you can see, I love Toyotas but the newer one has me a little vexed. When I took it out I tried to put it in 4lo. As per manual and youtube instructions I put the truck in neutral and turned the dial over to 4lo. When the 4lo was engaged, I had three lights come on the dash; TRAC-OFF, VSC-OFF, and PCS Warning Light. So with all these traction/stability/safety features going off in 4lo, is this normal for the Tacoma? I assume being in 4lo and possibly using crawl control and MTS the vehicle feels it doesn't need all the stability and safety features since you'll be traveling slow.

Any advice or reassurance that I'm driving my Taco right is greatly appreciated.

Yes it is normal, you don't want those features in 4LO, play with it. There's a lot of info on the sunvisor and in the owners manual.

4LO is offroad only, stationary and in park or neutral to engage and disengage.

I believe it’s normal to have those lights come on in 4lo ‘cause mine does the same thing. All off when out of 4lo. Enjoy your truck!

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
It's all normal. Toyota disables traction control when 4Lo is engaged. Just to reiterate on what Bishop84 said, make sure you're using 4Lo off-road. 4Lo can put a lot of strain on parts when there is a lot of traction like pavement. The same goes for the rear dif lock. Have fun with the truck and welcome to TW!
