OP, if you're accustomed to Raptor power, you REALLY need to spend some time in the Taco as it's a BIG difference, especially since you'll probably be getting roughly similar MPG.

The seemingly most common complaint on this forum is about the 3.5 engine's lack of torque.

Hate to say it, but if you are only looking for something smaller you might be better served looking at the Eco-Boost Ranger.

Although HP is similar on paper, the Ranger has lots more torque and more power is just a chip away.

sweet truck OP. Good luck with whatever you decide, that is badass...

just a thought, if you’re the type that keeps your truck for a long time, it may be paid for and then some by the time you have kids - definitely saves $$$ if you don’t need another vehicle after they arrive.

Get a mint 2nd gen and a supercharger. Very similar power to weight ratio to the Raptor.

Interested. I have a 2016 Black TRD OR 35xxx miles, but it's a 6spd! Located in Eastern NC (so close by! maybe 3-4 hrs drive if I had to take a wild guess), and I'm in the market for a Raptor because I just had a kid and have 2 dogs, so I need the space! PM sent.

    Very nice Ford.
I am thinking of trading my Tacoma 2018 for a used Ford, similar to your s.
I have only 14 thousand kilometers on,and full loaded TRD.
    Though i am in Canada.
I am sure someone will trade with you soon.
Wish you the best in finding the Tacoma.
    My regards
    Mario

I’ll discuss a trade, if you’re still interested? I love my truck, but would like something with more towing power...and that looks awesome-like your truck!

Y’all could just regear your rigs to 5.29 - Nitro gears and get the performance you are missing out on now.

Thanks mate. I love the overall look, but functionally it would’ve been better with smaller wheels.

Wow this is a dream deal. Now maybe some of the local TW finance guys can chime on this one. How might this work if the potential buyer still owed on their current truck and also a new loan for this Raptor?

That's fine if this is already sold, I'm just curious of the mentioned financing situation. Also, for what its worth, 2017 Tacoma TRD Offroad Super White. 39K miles. Bilstein 6112 front and 5160 rear suspension, MBRP 3" catback exhaust, HPS performance intake tube, 275/70/17 BFG K02 on 4Runner TRD Pro wheels Victory 4x4 roof rack, Victory 4x4 rock sliders, TRD Sport hood, Gator Tonneau cover, OEM bed mat and others I'm sure I'm missing

Going from the baddest 1/2 ton pickup on the market to a Tacoma is quite a downgrade.

I worked at a Ford dealership and drove several Raptors. The service manager told me that I would trade my Tacoma to get one of those things. I still have the Tacoma.
Nothing against your truck but they are way over priced, The turbo EcoBoost motors are crap. I seen enough of them being replaced. and they will be money pits in a few years because most people don't realize what they cost when they break. $4000 for a turbo if you don't do the maintenance for starters.
    Hope you get a Tacoma.

I think some folk missed he would trade for a Tacoma and lots of cash coming back his way to balance the difference. Not a straight swap
