Looking for some moderate trails within an hour or so from Kanab, trying to stay away from Bryce and Zion

Just saw this post and hope I am not too late. Go the the Expedition Utah website. A lot of info. You can also look in the Overland Bound website. Too many trails to list on here.

Great, thanks, we're going to be in Kanab next weekend.
Probably going to Alstrom Point, Antelope Canyon.
Open to any suggestions in the area, looking for Native ruins without too much hiking.

I agree that Expedition Utah has tons of info and great people who will go on a run with you.
Also you can't go wrong just looking at a Gazetter and picking interesting looking things.

I am in northern Utah and don't get to that area so I don't have any recommendations, but let me look at some resources I have for info.

Mike, look up Cottonwood Canyon Road. It is northeast of Kanab, between U.S. 89 and S.R. 12 at Cannonville. Not too far north from there is Hole-in-the Rock Road. These trails don't have Native ruins, but do have other historical sites.
