Technically you can get the a "long bed" with a manual transmission. It's only available in the access cab Sport.

I everything has been answered in this thread. I wanted a "long bed" with a MT. Access cab it is since the wife and I don't have kids and I can haul what I need. I just personally don't like the look of DCSB even though I see some nice ones out there but I wanted the bed space for sure. I guess I am just old school. With 2 dogs which can fit in the back and very rarely giving a ride to multiple people the access cab is for me. If I had to worry about people than I would have gotten the DCLB.

Just figure out how you want the truck to work for you. Maybe a good idea to write out all the pros and cons and really think about it since you dont want to make a $35,000-$40,000 purchase you are not happy with.

Thank you, old man 895! I get little smile on my face everytime I see it. I do love your Blazing Blue color and wish they still came in that option. I ALWAYS turn my head when I see any Taco in that color.

I bet! It would have made my choice that much harder if it was still available.

Well...considering they make them IN THE US but that you cannot buy it stateside is....for lack of a better work.....fucked.
But the silver lining to that is 2nd Gen AC TRD OR w/ 6MT’s are now THE unicorn, in my eyes, so resale is gonna reflect that.

Ok. So my reason for picking the long bed is probably stupid. But my OCD was just bothering me because of one simple thing lol. The way how the side of the cab to the bed bothered me like it was a piece of lego that didnt really flush lol...
either way, i woulda picked the LB anyway cause i wanted the Cement colour and for SB they all had white and blacks left.

Do people hate long beds that much or do they just sell fast. I'm still browsing and I bet 1/10 tacomas are LB. I'm literally going to have to go 400-500 miles to find a 2020 TRD OR LB with leather.

Where I live it’s the opposite, basically all longbeds both DC and AC. Rarely ever see short beds in 2nd or 3rd gens.

I did skip to the end here so did not read every response, forgive me if this has been mentioned. On the Toyota site everything being equal except bed length it looks like in an OR the LB adds another $2000.00.
