    Quick question:
I got a set of 4Runner Trd pro 17” wheels with 265/70/17 duratrac tires mounted on my 4Runner.

I wanted to put both the 4Runner rim and tire On my 2019 Tacoma off road which has the off road 16” tires and wheels. And then put the off road rim and tire on my 4Runner...

My concern is if I try and have them reprogrammed if there’s any issues because one is from a. 4Runner and one from a Tacoma and different years ...

    My question is:
Can I just switch wheels and tires with the sensors and have them re programmed or are the 2019 Tacoma sensors different than my 2018 4Runner sensors?

Worst case I gotta pay to dismount the tires and swap sensors providing the sensors fit between the Trd 4Runner rim and the Tacoma off road rim....

    thx

each sensor has a different ID number, so u would have to have them programmed, i would say they would work, i ditched my sensors 2 yrs. ago,, not needed...

4Runner will not work on Tacoma. Swap them over.

You’d have to do some research and see if the sensors are compatible with both trucks. If they are, a scan tool that does TPMS would be able to read all the tire sensor ID’s on each vehicle through the OBD ports. You can just write all 8 down, then switch and input new ID’s for each truck.
If they’re not compatible, you’ll have to dismount and switch the sensors.

I don't think the 16s will fit on a 4runner due to the brakes anyway.

Pretty sure they won't work. 3rd gen Tacos are a different thing.

Thanks after further research the off road 16” rims wouldn’t fit the 4Runner so I’ll have to find another set of rims and just remove my stock sensors
