I currently have a FM super 44 on my 2018 sport. I’ve had it for a week now, and decided it’s not for me. I was expecting it to be louder, and I’d like suggestions as to what direction to go since I’m going to replace it asap. Ive done a good amount of searching and can’t seem to find clips of jones 2525 on a 3rd gen. I had it on my 2006 dumped over the axle and loved it. Only others I’ve come across that I like would be the black widow but I’d love to here suggestions/reviews of those of you that like it loud!

I found 1 sound clip on YouTube of a 3rd gen and it sounded good! Can’t find any others, as long as this is louder than my super 44 I’ll be happy! Haha and to be clear again I don’t dislike the 44 at all, it has a great tone for our little trucks I just need some more volume that’s all

Going into my shop today in a few hours to dump it by the axle and see if that’s enough difference. My guy suggested it and said he had a guy with 3rd gen super 44 that did it and noticed a better difference. Will report back after..

Dumped at the axle the 44 did slightly increase but still not enough. my muffler guy is gonna order the super 10 on Monday. I’ll add a sound clip as well since there seems to be hardly any for the super 10 on 3rd gen

Got the super 10 dumped it at the axle and I absolutely love it. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone that is looking to maximize the sound on these 3.5’s with a simple muffler swap. Trying to upload a clip now..

If you want LOUD then you are going to have to go with a shorty style muffler.

    - Super 10 Chokemaster would be loud
    - Black Widow Widowmaker
    - Aero Turbine 2525 will be loud too.

Those are the only two I can think of at the moment which are a shorty design.

Remember, regardless of what you do, remember that drone will be very prevalent on most of these setups, with the exception of potentially the Black Widow Widowmaker muffler. I would recommend you the Widowmaker over the others as I have noticed a small but notable power increase switching out from an Aero Turbine muffler due to its peculiar but interesting and effective hourglass design. The Choke master mufflers would be the last brand I would recommend to anyone, ever.
