As far as mounting? I have no idea, but as far as performance and sound, it should be the same.

Right? Cause the double cab and the access cab are both the same length, just the access cab has a longer bed to make up for the rear doors on the double cab. So I would assume it should be the same. Egh, even if it wasn't, I think an exhaust shop would have the materials and tools to make it fit. I'm def. looking into upgrading my exhaust. Local exhaust shop was trying to charge me around $600 for a custom exhaust set up. I was thinking I might as well get a cat-back system.

Did you notice any gains? The afe website claimed 9hp and like 10tq I think, something like that. I’m thinking about getting this same one you have or the other Mach series with the oem style tail pipe. Only worried about losing out on torque or bottom end. That keeps me from getting an intake too. I’m running 285s, don’t have 2k for a regear. Thinking about maybe giving a tiny bit of power if this works.

I have the LCE header and this setup and I noticed an improvement on the highway, higher RPM’s but it was kinda getting too noisy so I added a vibrant racing 2.5” resonator before the muffler. These AFE exhaust use a straight through glass pack style muffler which is probably better suited for higher rpms. I ended up removing the muffler and put a 50 series deltaflow flowmaster chambered muffler with that resonator and it’s more livable now.

After going to the chambered muffler, I definitely felt like I lost some of that higher rpm power but low end grunt feels stronger

Ok so as far as Noise goes , it has drone inside and it’s pretty loud?

It was relatively quiet at idle, especially when at operating temps. It was just loudddd when you’re trying to climb a hill with the anemic 2.7 screaming for dear life at like 5,000 rpm :ballchain:

If you drive around town, lower rpms, it’s fine, it’s just those long uphill climbs where this exhaust would drive me nuts. If it was on a V6 or had more power, it wouldn’t bother me really at all, it’s just that constant WAHHHHHHH and literally going down in speed while you’re clinging to dear life in the slow lane is why I couldn’t deal with it haha

One of these days I’m going to make a video so y’all can hear it with the resonator and 50 series muffler.

Oh and PS, with the tips turned down, I’m sure that doesn’t help at all for adding drone

yeah that’s why I’m leaning towards the normal tail pipe model. I have a curt class 3 hitch and the tail pipe on the turn down model won’t fit. It may have to cut. Plus I think the normal tailpipe will help with drone.

I live in Florida so we don’t have many hills. I think the only time I rev close to 5k rpms is when I’m merging on the highway or gotta rush home to take a shit.

I just put the magnaflow setup on my tacoma, comes with a resonator, straight through pack muffler all stainless and mandrel bent. It cost me 470 but it seems good so far.

Thinking about adding a resonator to the system. Anyone have suggestions?

Id suggest adding another muffler instead. That would do more to tame things down

The magnaflow exhaust comes with a resonator that’s bolts right to the cat and reaches to the muffler. It looks like you could maybe just buy that resonator and connect to the muffler. The complete system is 19275 magnaflow, I wonder if you could buy separate??

Maybe just put a glass pack before it? It would have to be tubular. Standard wouldn’t fit height wise before your muffler? Or width???

maybe. I am trying to bring down the drone so I think a resonator will do it but I have no idea what route to go.
