Got it. I get it now, the concrete would change things for me too. Adding the below section and self tapping makes the most sense.

It does good, just have to take my time. I’ve got a split foyer and it’s no fun being on the roof on the front. The leaf blower is just a 18v Ryobi, so sometimes it takes a couple of passes to get them all. But it keeps me off the roof.

Been doing a slow 2nd floor remodel & finished pulling up the old carpet & pad in my upstairs today. 10 yrs w a dog & cat in the house have pretty much destroyed it...

House was built in 1928 & I know there’s wood flooring underneath but wasn’t sure what shape itd be in at that age & after some questionable looking remodels.

After getting all the carpet up & tossing out the window lol, I found some interesting stuff. In one 10’x10’ section theres a bunch of old WWII era newspapers that are stuck to the floor!

Think it’s doug fir flooring & looks to be in pretty rough shape. Also some spots where plywood has been patched in. Looks like a fair amount of prep & then finding some similar flooring to replace the plywood patches. Anyone have any thoughts on refinishing/repairing the wood floor vs covering w new carpet?? Ideally I’d like to restore the wood...

In that area with the plywood patches you could pull up the old flooring back as far as the row behind the larger patch then re-lay it , adding new material rows once the old stuff runs out

I bought a new shed to replace my 20 year old steel one that was falling apart.
Before putting the new 8 x 15 one up I had a new 340 sq ft slab poured.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
My question is what's under the plywood that they needed access to? Is there a light Fixture underneath the walkway?
