Hey now, I didn't say that. I mean, who isn't on the Mr. S. Leather sampler pack mailer list?

As long as you can afford it, why not?

Just put a new battery in. Should have bought a hypermotard since I was always a supermoto head. Screwed up and thought I wanted to be cool with a supersport - never rode it really.

I have been out exploring the desert on this 650GS and it is fun but damn I miss twisting the throttle.

Get a new 850GS, still plenty of offroad capability but almost twice the horsepower of the 650.

I tried living with the R1150R but it was kind of the worst of both worlds.

I wasn’t a fan of the seat height when I rode one. I ended up with a F750GS as a good balance of street performance, offroad performance and comfort. It will still do 0-60 in 4 seconds so it’s more than quick enough for everything other than my dumbest days.

The KTM 790 has a 21" front wheel, and the S model seat height is right around your F750GS's.

I just googled the specs, there’s about a 1.5” difference between the standard seat heights. I honestly didn’t look at the numbers when I was shopping, it was all based off what felt better and was more comfortable. Coming from a KLR650 as my previous long term bike they both felt like a low riding cruiser.

No one cares about your financial decisions on " how you could afford a pro". I didnt even bother looking at your post.

Well the KTM 790 comes in a R version ...and that seat height is close to the 850GS. At 5'5" I am leaning towards the 790s but the 790r is not out of the question. At 97hp it should be a really exciting ride. I have never seriously, minus a dirt Parking lot, taken a 100 hp bike off road.

I did a track day at Sonoma Raceway and Thunderhill back in the day on my KTM 625 SMC. I dynoed around 55 HP at the wheel. It was funny as hell carrying so much speed through the corners foot out while all the super sports would hit it on the straights and just mash the brakes in the turns.

    Did someone say KTM?

And to keep the thread on point, I paid for mine by being fiscally responsible and working hard for decades.
