So in the Mustang tuning community there is a reason they call the 2.3 Eco Boost the Eco Splat because they blow up stock so modding it is like rolling the dice.

But at least the modern trucks have a dozen cupholders so as to sufficiently slake the thirst of those thirsty CR reviewers.

    A few.
Gotta love them criticizing for high step in height on a 4x4 truck. Ridgeline sets the standard apparently.

No kink in the armor, that was a 1 month blip as new Tacoma buyers were waiting on 2020's to hit the lot. Even with that 1 single month of decline, sales are still above last years record amount.

Of course sales are going to be down with a mid-cycle refresh occurring with the 2020 models. The Tacoma should make up that number in the first quarter. Adding Android Auto and Car Play is going to drive a lot of sales. Plus, all of the disgruntled early-adopters looking to trade in, early-adopter holdouts finally purchasing, the truck's new features, and most of the early 3rd gen troubles being fixed, sales should be through the roof.

One month did worse in a year that is still better for the Tacoma, big deal. What is it that made you so assblasted anyway?

Looks like Tacobella just pops in to try and toot his horn every now and then. Must be a boring world over there in the ranger forums. He’s having withdrawals :D

Quit trying to justify your poor life choices here. No one cares about your truck. And no one ever will.

He cares about his truck! So much! That's why he'll trade it in 2 years from now like the rest of his vehicles.

I hate fanboys especially those that don’t know anything but there side. I’ve been a Toyota guy for as long as I remember. Have owned several first gen Tacoma’s, two second gens, and a 17 3rd gen. Not to mention a 1st gen Tundra and FJ. What can I say I’m like the village bicycle and everyone gets a ride. Needles to say I wanted to love my 3rd gen but the transmission was complete garbage with Toyota stating it was altitude causing it which is stupid. Anyways, I traded it and got the first gen Tundra and was a way better vehicle hands down. Probably my favorite vehicle to date besides my 2012 Tacoma. Sadly, the 4wd took a crap on it and I didn’t want to put more money into a 14 year old vehicle. I started searching around not knowing what to get next. I haven’t been a huge fan of the Ranger looks wise since it’s release though I’ve always loved the Ranger Raptor. After looking around I saw that the Ranger was discounted around 7000 or more for end of year. Meaning I could get a fully loaded 4x4 Supercab Ranger with remote start and all the bells and whistles for around 30 grand or less. Hard to pass that up so I did a test drive. I was pretty impressed lots of tech and gobs of power. So I decided to take the plunge and purchased it. The looks have started to grow on me and I can’t wait to put on the Raptor grill. Though the Tacoma is still the best looking truck when done right. I can’t give a full review on the Ranger yet but I can say it’s hands down better then the 3rd gen Tacoma drivability wise. The Ford App is also amazing with remote start from anywhere and the best part it’s free forever. But the monkey in the room is how reliable will it be?? Thats the question that’s hard to answer. I guess my point is I’d never expect to love the Ranger as much as I do already. If the Ranger is priced within 1-2000 of the Tacoma then it’s a no brainer and Tacoma wins. I don’t think Ford can compete at all then. But if they can drop the price by 7000 or more like they have done in Nov and Dec I think it will be very competitive to at least take the number 2 spot. The numbers suggest that a lot of people feel the same after the Price drop. Trucks are just too expensive these days. I will report back on reliability after I get more time on the truck but hopefully it proves to be worthy.

Good luck with the new truck.

Pretty sure most people here don't get bothered by anyone buying different makes.

It's the one's that make it their mission to let everyone know how Toyota personally butt hurt them that's annoying- because who really cares?..lol

Hope you enjoy the ranger forums...
