Here's a picture of me pumping my own gas in Oregon. It was truly a memorable occasion! Unfortunately it wasn't in the Taco.

As some of you may know, I've been on a Disney movie binge for the last few days; Just for grins, I looked up Pinocchio online and found out something amazing and ridiculous...

When released on VHS for the first time in June 1985, Pinocchio was selling for eight bucks (US$80)!

Also, 101 Dalmatians was first released on VHS in April 1992. My parents bought me that tape, and I watched it so many times that the tape wore out and broke by 1994!

Pets become a part of the family, its hard to lose one. I really love my cat, she is my buddy and even enjoys playing in the garage.

Had to put my chow chow down on Father’s Day a three weeks before my baby was born. Way to much life changing stuff. I miss my girl everyday.

I've got my iPhone plugged into the desktop computer at work, and it will hold the charge while the phone is not in use. However, it charges very slowly. When I'm actually using the phone, it starts to go down a percentage every few minutes!

I also have a few USB cords in my stash that will keep the iPhone from dying quickly, but not charge it, no matter what the charging source is.

One of my coworkers has a motion-activated Santa outside their office. It was not here last week. The thing plays a Christmas tune every time someone walks by. I’ve been here maybe thirty minutes and yet another coworker has placed a piece of paper over it to keep it from going off every time someone walks past! I was about to go medieval on Santa...

    :laser: :fenforcer:

The coworker who owns the Santa does not seem to be in today, so we’ll see what happens when she comes in and discovers our handiwork.

Work computer is probably only usb 2.0, which is only 500mA. Most phones these days need 1500 to 2000 mA

Different phones need different chargers. I try to throw away all the chargers that are less than 3 Amps. I made the mistake of equipping my camper with 2.1 amp USB outlets - my iphone charges fairly quickly but my Samsung takes all night. :annoyed: One of these days I'll beef up the wiring and get a better charger there.

But to answer your question, most laptop ports dont have the amperage to handle your phone, as already stated.

Did you unlock your phone? I have to unlock both my iPhones (iPhone 8 & X) before they’ll charge on my work laptop.

Even Disney has a lame duck every once in a while, and in the late 1990s and early 2000s they had a ton of them in the form of direct-to-video sequels...

The Disney Renaissance was a period of time, beginning in 1989 with The Little Mermaid and ending in 1999 with Tarzan, when Disney released a slew of hit animated films. With the exception of three (Tarzan, 1997’s Hercules, and 1998’s Mulan), I owned all of the “Renaissance” movies on VHS. I also had Toy Story, Pinocchio, Mary Poppins, 101 Dalmatians (the original 1961 movie, which was my favorite movie back then; I got it in 1992 and managed to wear it out by 1994 because I watched it so much), and Fantasia. The only non-Disney movie I owned that I remember watching excessively was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Yes; I own a 2015 MacBook and a Toshiba laptop of roughly the same vintage; Macbook charges iPhones and iPods just fine; Toshiba won’t recognize my iPhone. The MacBook is a fully loaded $2,000 machine that I bought with inheritance money from my late Grandma. The Toshiba is just a base model PC that my dad bought for the sole purpose of sending emails and typing documents for work. He gave it to me when he bought a new one.
