I rarely use my Explorer simply because it’s too big. Even on a 5 nighter, the bulk of the thing is a huge hurdle for me. That ranger 2 looks perfect.

I want a two burner Partner Steel Badly. It’s on my holiday list that I leave everywhere I think my wife might be.

I've used the 2 burner Colemans my whole life but recently picked up a CookPartner 18 stove to mount on a slide in my Drifter buildout, along with a Jetboil for any small stuff while inside the Drifter. Haven't fully decided on whether or not I'm going to hard mount a 5 or 10lb tank or stick with the 1lb cans.

I normally use a Coleman 2 burner, as I've used them for many years, but recently I've taken a liking to this bad boy -

    Coleman Sportster Grill.

Yes, I used a pair of Maxtrax boards to level out my grill :crapstorm:

The ranger 2 has been so great that we built a bed slide around it. Seriously impressed with it. Everyone loves their Partner Steel though, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

I just received and tested my Gas One ten minutes ago. I got the 3900p that will work with propane...Looks amazing so far! Going to camp in Moab for 3 days in Oct.

    I also bought a Blackstone 17" griddle...

I'm loving mine, have used it all summer. I use it with the cartridges and love how the cartridge can stay in the stove but not engaged for safety. In the winter while ice fishing I used it with my 11lb bulk tank. The integrated starter that works on the same dial as the temp control is just awesome, so intuitive. This thing is possibly my forever stove, for car camping anyway. I have 3 MSR stoves, 3 Coleman stoves, a Primus, a CampinGaz or two plus the dozen or so I no longer own. This thing is the best for making coffee with my percolator because it can actually simmer super low. That is what I use it for most, but I do cook with it usually with a cast iron pan. Cast iron is great because you can cook with it fairly low temp, and nothing sticks because you are using such low heat. Anyway, glad you are giving the Gas One stove a shot, I seriously think it's the best car camping/boat camping stove I've ever had and I've been camping 20 or 30 nights a year for the past 35 years. And even better, they aren't that expensive!

This is the setup I'm currently using: Camp Chef Ranger III, 16" Lodge Reversible cast iron griddle, Aluminum fold-up table, with a 20lb propane tank.

It is on the heavy side but I can have it up and running in about 5 minutes.

Made a storage transport bag for it which does help with the setup.

Jethro, everything you just said echos my reasoning for the purchase. I didn’t even know they existed until a few days ago. Super simple, light, good flame control.

I like to keep it reasonably light even though I’m using the taco to haul it all around. But the blackstone griddle combines a lot of cookware into one item.

That and a one burner will be all I need for a family of 4 for now. If Partner Steel made a one burner like that I’d love the added qualit. But at this price point, you can’t compete.

I wish Partner Steel did a single burner. But their two burner is already great...

We've recently purchased the BioLite Campstove 2 bundle. We've grilled veggies and sausages, boiled water for coffee, etc. and have been pleased with the heat generated and how fast it gets hot. Unknown.jpg

I recently chose between Coleman sportster propane grill and Fuego F 24C prof propane grill.

Such a con made me refuse to buy the first one is "very hot, even on the lowest setting". I was afraid that all my food would simply burn out outside and remain tasteless inside.

The second grill is heavy, but I ready to pay the price for all the advantages that it offers.

First I chose based on reviews on the Internet, and by the way, in the store everything was confirmed.

White gas Coleman grill and lantern here. Prefer them over the propane stoves as those don't work for shit in the freezing cold temps. Although sometimes I'll just bring a trangia alcohol stove if I'm just boiling some water for one night.

It only effects propane tanks in very cold temperatures, basically under 0 degrees. it actually boils at - 45, but flow regulation becomes problematic for most systems below water freezing temperatures

The less fuel in the tank and the lower that liquid temperature, the less fuel vaporized for proper flow

propane is great, it's cheap and readily available. it just doesn't do great in freezing conditions

I like the Coleman combo grill/burner unit. Boil water for the french press while grilling breakfast.
When I need slow grilling or when I have time to kill I carry a grill grate and grill over wood coals.

I love LP for the convenience. I camp when it’s cold. Easily some teen-temps some years deer hunting AZ in January. I can’t imagine I would go colder than that ever.

i mentioned a Camp Chef two burner earlier. I just gave it away. The bulk was just too much to overcome. I gave up some BTU’s but I went way more compact.

I picked up a PARTNER Steel. I bet I could stand on it. It’s built up - overkill almost.
I’ll toss it into my truck next week for my elk hunt.
