I am interested in the Total Chaos 3.5 long travel kit. If you look at the kit, it doesn’t come with spindles.

What would be the difference between using this kit with the stock spindle compared to say a 3” or 4” lift spindle?

Would the lift spindle take away more down travel?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated:)

Long travel isn't compatible with any lift spindle. LT kits are designed for stock spindle geometry. The most people do to their own spindles is have gussets welded on to increase rigidity.

Your typical lift spindles are designed to be utilized with stock suspension components only.

There is a log travel specific forum here, so you could look there, or even ask total chaos directly, however you’re likely to get the same answer as above.

Lift spindles just jack with your CV angles too much.
