I have a 2018 Sr. Quad cab. I hunt hounds and have a dog box that I built for the pickup that is permanently inside. Between the dog box, water tank and tool boxes, I would say there is a consistent 350-400lbs in the bed. When I am hauling dogs and driving where I would be actually working the suspension I add another roughly 600lbs of dog weight. I'm just curious what the internet world would suggest to beef up the rear suspension but still maintain a somewhat decent ride?

Because the weight is consistent I would suggest an add-a-leaf rather than a helper spring or air ride. I usually suggest air ride for varying loads, or when towing.

It will keep the rear up and level with load. Plus its simple and reliable way to achieve this.

Stock shocks will work with it, but its recommended to go to an extended shock like a 5100. This will result in a better ride all around.

+1 on the add-a-leaf. Easy install and you can remove it if you don't like the unloaded ride around town...

OME Dakar heavy leaf spring pack. Or you can try the Dakar medium pack (el095r). If the medium is not enough you can always add 1 more leaf to turn it into a heavy pack.

Consider Timbren bump stop if you are worried about bottoming out. Allows standard springs but provides support under heavy loads. Its an air bag compromise.
