Here's my before and after photos as promised. Personally I think she looks pretty good but then, I may be a bit biased. Paired with the upgraded harness and bulbs this setup is clutch!
Before on top. Side by side in the middle. And after on bottom.

Looks really sharp! The Pro lights are a nice subtle way to tone down the front chrome.

Wow those lights look good. Gotta love the way a good subtle mod manages to transform the way the front looks

This is a 2nd Gen thread, very different lighting assembly than 3rd Gen. In 3rd Gen if wanting whiter light I would suggest the Hikrais covered below. They are the only LED I have tried that is an actual real performance improvement over stock in 3rd Gen.

I didn't realize, sorry. Thanks for the suggestions though. I had read through your multiple threads and got lost I guess. By the way, thanks for taking so much time and effort with the information/tests and education.

The other thread https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/why-leds-should-not-be-run-in-halogen-reflectors.454371/ doesn't apply to 3rd gens? I have halogen reflectors.

For your low beams you have halogen projectors, not reflectors. You do have reflector high beams, but the same glare control and cut off requirements do not apply to the high beam, focus and loss of distance projection can still be an issue though. The stock high beam is also a relatively high output H9, not many LEDs will match that output level, so you may get more scatter and short range up light but lose the intensity and focus for the distance projection Portion of the pattern just above the low beam cut off. I did test the Hikaris as higher than stock for the high beam, as covered in the review linked earlier but it wasn’t as thorough testing as I would like.

High beam testing is a challenge because I really need the distance component for good values, but the stock high beam has so much uplight I end up just blasting multiple neighbors living room windows while I’m running the tests (feels like the Grizwalds Christmas light scene with the neighbors). Driving lights by comparison have a much more focused pattern where that shouldn’t be an issue. I also need to update much info in that thread.

So i just performed this mod using the Headlight Services Harness and everything went really smooth during the install. When i turned my truck on for the first time my high beams indicated they were on when only my normal night time lights should be one. Now I cant turn off my high beams. Anyone else have this problem or know of a solution. I have a 2013 trd sport.

I just received a harness last week and I am having the same issue. I have new relays coming in the mail to see if that solves the issue.

What you can try is swapping the relays to see if that does the trick. It did not on mine it is still stuck on the high beams only working.

Also, swap the in line 20 amp fuses with new and see if that fixes the issue.

    Edit Reason

My issue was my low beams were burned up. Just if someone comes across an issue like this

Try swapping the relays on the harness. If your low beams are then stuck on it would mean you have a bad relay that is stuck closed, causing the lights to remain on.

Glad to hear I’m not the only one having this issue. I tried swapping around both relays and the 20 amp fuses and the problem persists. Maybe Mike got a bad batch of relays. I will reach out and see if I can get new relays coming. I hope this will solve the issue.

So I talked to another Toyota dealer, they said they won't sell TRD Pro headlights for a non TRD PRO truck...

Can't even pretend to own a TRD PRO cause they'll ask for my vin.

    Guess I'm ordering off ebay

    That's complete BS!

Before giving up hope, you might see if Google can locate a TRD Pro for sale (with its VIN listed)...

@Colinator4321, I tagged you on a for sale add I ran across for some '15 headlight housings. I know they aren't the Pro versions but were priced right.

I’d suggest adding fuses as well as there does not appear to be any.
