Since XII doesn’t sell drop springs anymore does anyone know where I can get a set of 1.5-2” drop springs for our second gen? Hoping someone has done better research then I have because I can’t find any and can’t find dimensions to match some up from a different car/truck thanks in advance!!

They are cosmis xrII 18x9.5 +15 with 245/40/18 toyo proxes....tires are a little smaller then my liking but I wasn’t returning them....I had 255/50 but they were big so I’d say 255/45 maybe would be best

just a couple more questions. does the tires sit flush with the fender or is there a poke? And where you able to get your front end aligned within specs. sorry for all the questions i am in the processing of getting my wheels/tires and was unsure of what offset to go with in 9.5wide.

When I had the 255/50 they sat perfectly flush maybe a quarter inch of poke...with these smaller tires they maybe a quarter inch in the I side the fender....I have a full Djm 3/4 drop kit and I was able to get everything aligned no problem....the rear does t have any adjustment but front end was good

I’ve had the Djm notch for a while....the Djm kit comes with a 4” block in the rear I went with a 5” so that’s 5” of drop then using the 4x4 leaf springs you get another 1.5” or so totaling 6.5” of drop in the rear

Looking for the same info regarding the lack of lowering springs out there now days. Anyone know the stock spring spec for a base 09 so I can possibly reference on the eibach site

I thought the 5 lug lowering guide showed the X-runner shocks being used up front. The springs that would mate up with the lower perch that people are getting are made for the X-runner as well but maybe the none X springs will fit. I don't know. so if I'm correct, the X-runner spring will work on our 4cyl 5 luggers as well.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/comprehensive-5-lug-2nd-gen-lowering-info.247184/

In looking on a parts website and comparing components from 07 base 5 lugger to 08 X-runner, the following is true

Different spring P#s X = 48131-AD181 right left is 48131-AD191, stock 5 lug has two options, one is heavier for the access cab version vs reg cab
same P# for shock mount 48609-04010
same P# spring insulator Xrunner is 48157-04010
same upper and lower control arms

so can X-runner springs be fit to regular 5 lug shocks?
I'm not sure but the top of the spring will fit for sure. just would need to know about the bottom.

I just bought an 2005 RWD and am looking to upgrade my suspension from stock to 2" lower. Most threads reference products no longer in production :-(

This post seems to show success with the X-Runner springs... but I have not found any info on using anything but stock X-runner shocks with them unfortunately...

Check if the knuckles are the same. If they are, and you like the xRunner ride height, I'd assume full xrunner front shock setup will give you the same stance and then any drop spring meant for the xrunner will drop you even more. Probably will need new bump stops and stiffer swaybars to not bottom out travel a lot.

Oh yeah I agree I just had that conversation with someone today. I'm just saying from the sheets they have available it should be possible I'm going to go and look again and see what the other brand says.

To answer your question as cheap as possible without doing things like cut springs ect. I am running 17x7 and will keep them until I can get some 17×8.5. I am looking to drop ~2". 1.5" to 1.75" will be great. The tires I'll be running will be 225/55/17 on the 7" rims, once I get the 8.5" I'll run some 255 or so. I've looked for the SOS drop springs and cant seem to find an active link. I've also looked into the Xii performance drop coils, the company still exists but everything about their drop kits is gone. I also sent xii a email about it. Any help would be appreciated I'm sure not just by me either.
