Bed Stiffener Questions

    White, debadged, Mudflaps removed, ICON 2.5 in front, 2.0 in rear, all 4 corners have reservoirs, Spidertrax wheel spacers all around, BAMF bolt on sliders, Avid lightbar, oem transmission cooler converted to power steering cooler, aftermarket transmission cooler eliminating all oem transmission cooler stuff, remote mounted spin on transmission fluid filter TrueTrac rear differential, rear diff housing vented and filtered into left side bed box, URD MAF calibrator, Volant intake scoop into oem airbox, second filter removed, airbox internals smoothed, blended and polished throttle body, NST intake manifold spacer, Wet Okolee set covers, WeatherTech Digital Fit mats, inexpensive JVC single DIN, Scangage, AVS Stepshield door sill protectors, Doug Thorley Long Tube Headers, URD Y pipe with O2 sims.
    Over the years, several companies or members have sold Tacoma bed stiffeners for the taligate area.

    My truck has an AMP bed extender. By the looks of how the bed stiffeners fit, they will interfere with the AMP bed extender mounts and how it folds into the bed.

    Also, regarding bed stiffeners, is one brand preferred and are they still available.

    Same crap everyone else got
    I have ATH ones and like them a lot. Not sure about your bed extender question though. Ive never used one. If I'm needing the extra room and have to ride with my tailgate down, whatever is back there is strapped down good.

    Not sure about bed extender fitment but I can take a picture if that will help.

    I have total chaos stiffeners and I like them. I'm sure there are others that are also made well.

    I was checking installed photos at each website. Pretty certain the Bed Extender will not work with these unless other changes are made.

    Somewhat as I expected. The AMP bed extender mount must be shimmed toward the center of the truck.

    Now to decide on which bed stiffeners and then make it work.

    I’m jumping in here at the end and haven’t full read through all the tread but, if you have a local fab guy then maybe he can make you some stiffeners that would work with the extender.
