    Does the truck start?

    Support@ovtune.zendesk.com

After you email zendesk and while you are waiting for a response, you may want to try Config > Purge local data, and do Help > Update. Clear DTC and try again. If nothing changes, reinstall the software. It sounds a bit like your registration didn't work correctly.

Yes, i turned the truck off and back on again. It can't even read DTCs. Times out then says completed successfully with no output where it said "0 DTCs" before. Clearing DTCs finished real fast. I only have one option in the drop down. Flashing failed again.

I could be wrong, but this sounds similar to another problem from a few months back. Didn't @OVTune have them try to install a tune from a different ECU ID? I'd wait on OVT's advice before trying that.

Maybe? Double check the file and make sure it matches the ecu

I don't remember that, but there's always the disconnect the battery and touch the cables together for 5-10 minutes trick.

The more that I think about it, the more it seems like it was. Flash that other ECU tune to get the truck to start, then reflash the tune you want? Still @OVTune should chime in before going there.

That can be a wizard level fix for some electrical problems.

Maybe uninstalling FM, (re)installing the new version, and doing all the pure / updates / REG installation would be a great Step 1?

Edit to delete that first part. The 1.05 filenames have not changed.

I’d download the tune file again. When I had that happen, the file was bad for some reason and redownloading fixed it.

Oh thank God the stock tune worked...

Not sure why I can't get the OVtune to flash though.

04B41_1.05_93_Base went through the second time. I tried to do the FOB first last time and that started the whole mess. Wonder if i should just stick with this for now. What's different about the FOB?

FOB has a lot more torque at the bottom end. My favorite. Most of the Atkinson BS is eliminated.

It never hurts to give some solid test time to any of the tune files.

That error message pops up about not turning the truck off because older Toyota ECUs are clickable if you turn them off.

Not with our software on this. Bad flash, just shut off, then turn on and try again.

2.0 is supposed to have a full otto version with it according to the blogs on ovtune web page.

He has three different swappable maps.
