I'm new so pardon the repeat post if this is one, but Im looking to build a drift truck and haven't been able to find a disc conversation kit or even a different Toyota I can use a pair off. My main goal is to install a hydro hand brake, with any luck run dual calipers.

    Any help is appreciated!

I'm planning on this myself. I contacted a guy that says "it can be done" but he is a fabricator so only if there is a demand he will attempt it. otherwise a ford explorer rear end will work.

That's the conclusion I came to is buying a Ford rear end with the discs on it. I know that late 90s/early 00s mustangs have a dual caliper setup through Brembo but I haven't dug to deep as to how easy it would be to maintain normal e braking for state inspection

somewhere around 96-98 I believe. There is a huge amount of info on what years to get and how to decider codes for gearing ratios and whether it has a LSD or not while at the junkyard.

Im pretty sure that only works with 6 lug 4wd trucks. He’s building a 2wd 5lug drift truck

    Oh shit, my bad.

but there’s still a chance the backing plate can be used, it would be a mater of rotors

Call SOS Brakes and see what they say.

The Ford explorer axle idea is a good one.

I will have to look into the sos brakes. I've seen the wilwood Dual calipers for a late 90s/ early 00 mustang which lead me to believe it may work with the explorers setup. I have definitely contemplated switching to 6 lug but at that point im concerned of not having the power to spin them fast enough to be effective. I guess gearing could help counter that though
