I have had great luck with CBI. Ordered the aluminum Moab 2.0 and they quoted 3 month. The shipment arrived in less than 3 months. Under promise/ over deliver. I think the steel has better lead times. I haven’t installed it yet, but the quality looks amazing. Even my body shop commented on the excellent quality on the power coating. I am happy. They have been great to work with.

This is good to hear. I pulled the trigger on a steel rear bumper and aluminum front. Hopefully I will have a good experience too. Thanks!

How much louder is a big front bummer than the stock bumper on the highway?

Placed an order for the C4 hybrid this week with the mid hoop. Can't wait to get this bad boy installed. Estimated time is July.

How long are lead times for aftermarket bumpers these days ? Reason I ask is I had a fender bender and truck is at body shop now getting evaluated. Hoping they don’t try and total it out but would love an opportunity to try and upgrade the bumper since it will need replacing anyways. Do u have to time these things just right doing something like this or anyone with tips on how to upgrade your bumper after a wreck without waiting forever for a build ? Thanks. Guessing I’d have to have body shop place order if so ?

It depends on a lot of things. Your best bet is to just email the companies your interested in and ask what the lead time would be for the bumper with all the different options you would want (Powder-coating, hoops, fog light cutouts, etc. all add to lead times). As for installing it, it depends on where the damage is. Best case scenario is just the bumper cover and crash bar since those get removed when putting on an aftermarket bumper most of the time. You can skip the lead times and get a great deal by buying my bumper if you cover shiping :) https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/selling-relentless-fab-bumper-2nd-gen-in-socal.663253/page-2

I remember when these things were under $1000. Crazy how expensive it is. If I had to do it all over again I couldn't afford it. -_-

my brain when deciding which bumper to get.
”let’s be practical. Just get one that retains most of the factory look”
    *sees this post*
Fuck it. Take my money and give me that now.
