But...if you want to support small business....wouldn't it make sense to visit people instead of using facebook? That way you can purchase gas (from a small business owner) and possibly grab a sandwich on the way (also, from a small business owner).

    None....yet.
OP left out the real dangerous part. You actually have a decent chance of everyone in the vehicle dying on the way to the mall after some facebooker runs a red light. I'd venture to say even more of a chance than a mass mall shooting. Just stay inside everyone. The world is a scary place

4,000 kids die each year texting and driving. How many die at the mall?

Texting and car accidents (you know, "normal" stuff no one cares about), aren't as scary as guns, so I don't know.... >4,000?

Dollar store is same useless plastic crap from China and they don’t care if the kids steal it because they are the workers friends. As for malls, there is nothing at them anyone likes so of course they will go out of business.

On a side note, I just went to the mall for christmas shopping and was wondering what kids would go to the mall to hang out for anyways. No arcade unless you count the $20-40+/hr gameworks/dave and busters, no music stores left like virgin fye etc, hot topic sells spongebob now, no kb toys(or any other toy stores for that matter) - literally everything I would go to the mall for when I was younger is gone. Even little specialty stores like the gem/mineral store, the "science" toy store, sports card stores, all gone.

All the malls around us have 127 clothing stores and a sunglass hut.
