Nothing special it just looked dangerous and cool to try out.

My garage capacity is at 100%. I can't do anything until I move as much as I can into the shed I just setup.

I just put 12V LED lights in it today powered off the battery I replaced on the 4Runner.
Also 4 shelving units Costco has on sale.
Tomorrow I add a solar panel to charge it then I can start filling it up.

Very nice. I’ve never seen one like that before. My weakest point is sharpening my chisels.

    A thing or two...
I put the saw up on the existing bench today to see how the height is. I'm thinking that it's a bit too tall and would be better if the deck of the saw was at the level as the current bench top.

Did this today. Glad I used screws when I put up the faux ship lap. Lessoned learned, insulate at the start if you think you might want/need to down the road. Thought I could tough it out, the few cold snaps we’ve had has proven otherwise. Wall behind the bench is back up, some things rehung. Now to rest my we back.

Thought I got a pic of the insulation before putting the wall back together, guess I was in the zone and didn’t.

I used 1” R-tech rigid foam. Went completely over top the studs instead of in between to avoid any cold bridging. Then used house wrap tape and foil tape on the seams. When all is said and done, I will do all four walls and the ceiling. I will also cut sheets that I can place over the windows and double door in the winter.

Wall on the right, behind the bench, is the one I did today. Such a PIA!

Anyone here work with slabs? I have access to a huge amount of walnut slabs, super dry, about 4 years now. Various shapes and sizes. What do these go for? Who would buy them?

Only about $5 per slab so can you drop them all off at my house in the east bay? I’ll pay gas haha

I would buy a few. I love the look of walnut with a nice clear coat on it. How big are the slabs? Live edge or cut?

I could take a day trip down from Chico if the price is right. I’m getting ready to gut my Flxible bus and I’m doing it all in walnut mid century modern.

Plus Rocklin has the best Gyro shop in the state!

I don’t work with slabs, but they go for A LOT here. Walnut alone goes for about $10-15 a board foot. Slabs, several hundred to several thousand depending on size.

Yeah I started my insulation on the south side, the wall is like a heater in the summer. Hoping with a little thermal mass it will help in the winter. I want to do a south side extension on the south side too, would be great for wood overflow.

Any plan for the extension? Just to increase space?
