Has a slide out. Tows really well here in Upstate NY. Quality is great. Not as good as our old Sunline. Slide makes all the difference for us.

Same. Have a P3 right now but likely going to get a 2020 Tacoma and plan to put a Redarc in it instead if I do.

Revive & Update- after 1.5 years on the road we ended up settling down just west of Nashville in Kingston Springs. It's like the small smokies, but just west of Nash. You ever end up out this way? We're looking to head to NC again sometime before next year, if so we'll have to meet up at a brewery & talk shop!

I have a 2018 R Pod 180 it is under 3000lbs it towed great behind my Jeep. I just got my truck 6 weeks ago so i am not sure how it tows. I also use the Curt echo wireless brake control and it works great with my iphoneIMG_0600.jpg IMG_1041.jpg IMG_0600.jpg IMG_1041.jpg

Looking good! So you haven't towed with it yet? I would recommend checking out this thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-tacoma-towing-bible.4031/ There's a lot of good knowledge on there, I wouldn't say read all 88 pages, but the initial get-go has lots of useful info.

Basically, using a trailer controller if you're towing 4000+ pounds (but would likely be useful in your scenario as well), and all the other "how-to's" for using the truck with a trailer. Good stuff when you have time to peruse it.

Looking good!!! I think these trailers are perfect weight for Tacoma towing.

I pulled a 2015 Ropd 177 behind a Ford Escape that worked ok but we upgraded to a 2018 Rpod 179 which required an upgraded tow vehicle. Our 2018 AT TRD Off Road (OV Tuned) handles this duty no problem. We use a Prodigy RF brake controller and have not found a need for a WD hitch. Our trailer weighs in at 3250#, tongue weight 385#, when loaded for camping. Mostly flatland towing out here in Manitoba with plenty of head/cross wind to contend with. Tacoma good!!

You’ll have no problem with your 180.

I think the Casita trailers are really cool but WOW!, $7,000+ after 23 years. That’s amazing. I guess you have to really look at some. I have seen issues with cracks in the gel coat on curves and the normal wear and tear. Still. Amazing resale on those. Did not realize that.

Fiberglass campers hold their valve very well. I sold a 1975 trillium 3 years ago for 3500. And it was all 1975.

You'll find this to be true on almost all molded fiberglass campers - Boler, Casita, Escape, Scamp, Trillium, UHaul, etc. With reasonable care, they'll last much longer than many stickbuilts. I have a twenty year old Scamp fifth wheel that I think I could easily sell for what I paid for it eleven years ago.

https://www.fiberglass-rv-4sale.com/ is the best website I've found for anyone looking for this type of camper.

Cracks in the gelcoat, particularly those on the corners of the roof, are most commonly cosmetic rather than structural and can be usually be repaired at a reasonable cost if they're a concern.
