No key w/ remote push button door lock/unlock function for my 2020 Taco

I got a new 2020 Toyota Tacoma SR (model 7514A it says on the sticker) w/ a new job and it came only two old-school keys, meaning I have to key the key-hole on the doors to unlock or lock each door. I asked Toyota dealer to make me such a remote lock/unlock key. They tried (and were going to charge my company $312 to do so); but then came out a half-hour later and told me they couldn't make it b/c as a base-line model this truck does not have a transponder needed to accept the programming for such a remote key. What the heck-fire?!? Anyone on this forum know anything about this and/or whether I can get an aftermarket system of some sort that would be able to remotely lock/unlock the doors of my Tacoma SR?

 

Get a remote starter like compustar, they are far superior remotes and the remote starter acts as a security system as well.

I use mine every day, summer winter.

Otherwise a stereo shop can wire in a simple unlock/lock system.

 

If its like mine you can only unlock the drivers door and the passenger door with the key on the drivers door, no lock cyl on passenger door.

 

Same with my 2019 Does the 2020 have a key slot on the passenger side?
