My girlfriend is a runner:puke: but we were up in Scottsdale a few weeks ago for a Ragnar trail run and I spent 2 nights in my tent. Closest thing to camping I have done in a while. Pretty morning view from bed and put the skottle to good use.

This showed up this morning. Just have to spend a small fortune on odyssey batteries and I can go ahead and get this installed. Thanks to Matt @HeliMedic can’t wait to get it put in.

If you are familiar with Tucson snow is rare especially at the lower elevations. So when we were hit with a snow storm my brother @Tac_99 , a few friends @TACO_AZN, @DrewDown and I decided to take the trucks and dogs to play in the snow. Here are a few pics courtesy of @TACO_AZN

    Great pics—what fun.

I remember getting snowed on in Tucson maybe it was November of 1984 or 85 or 86 (?) Not quite that much however.

Finally I installed my dual battery for my Dometic fridge. An expensive solution to not have to bring ice camping. Matt at off grid makes a solid product, install was easy and all the wires were high quality and cut exactly to the lengths needed.

The fridge fits nicely. I just wish the slide from tembo tusk wasn’t $$$$. With the slide installed I’ll have about an inch between the bottom of the rack and the top of the cooler. Slide coming soon.

I did need to make some changes to the blue sea below deck outlet. I was not happy with the 12volt plug supplied by dometic it was large and didn’t make a good connection inside the 12volt cigarette lighter outlet.

You can see how small the back of the outlet contact plate is.

what I ended up doing was using dometics engel plug and swapping the blue sea cigarette outlet for and engel outlet. I like how it’s a secure threaded connection. I won’t have to worry about a loose connection and a warm fridge when I’m headed down a bumpy trail.

Finally pulled the trigger on the tembo tusk fridge slide. I was getting tired of moving the fridge around in the bed of the truck with all the camping gear and since camping season is upon us it was a must do. They are expensive but when it arrived I was shocked how solid it was this thing is heavy and built well. The tracks are super smooth and did I mention this thing is solid. I mean I have never been disappointed with products from tembo tusk just the price tag they carry.

I used some some ruivnuts designed for plastic so they have a pretty good grab on the composite bed. I also used them because they make unbolting the slide easy if I wanted to. I don’t have to get under the truck just unbolt from above no nuts and washers under the bed.

There was a lot of measuring involved prior to the purchase I was worried it would not clear the tent or be too wide to fit both the frontrunner Wolfpack’s. Measuring payed off! it fits with and inch to spare under the tent and about 1/4 inch for the Wolfpack’s.

Much needed covid outing. Since everything is shut down and the weather has been great a few of us decided to head for the Mountains that overlook Tucson. Set up a small camp had some beers enjoyed the day had dinner and came home late evening.
