More about the truck. I bought it as a CPO with ~58k miles from Mid-State Toyota in Asheboro, NC. The truck has been a commuter vehicle mostly, with a 1-way commute of 54 miles 2-4 days a week. The original owner lived in MN and was a wildlife photographer and made several trips to Texas (Gulf of Mexico) from Minnesota. Hence, the 115k miles. You hear “highway mileage” in ads frequently, but the balance of the mileage on this truck is truly that.

I live on a horse ranch so the truck sees LIGHT off-roading (think fire roads and some trails). If I’m being honest with myself, the Fox & Icon-based suspension is gross overkill for how I ended up actually using the truck. However, I wanted the adjustability and when needed, wanted to be able to carry stuff off road and not worry about if the truck could handle it. The truck never saw the use it was built for, and the alignment that’s currently on it is reflective of that. It’s currently aligned for street use and optimal tire life.

I wasn’t planning on replacing this truck and have maintained it like I was going to keep it forever. Under my ownership, I’ve done all of the maintenance myself with the exception of a trans flush. In another life, I’m a racecar driver (road racing) and as such am a bit thorough/pedantic about maintenance. I also enjoy it – it’s my therapy.

This truck has been maintained at or ahead of Toyota’s maintenance schedule. Please see the maintenance spreadsheet I’ve included which tells the complete story.

    Key services:
    • Complete new suspension Feb/March of 2019 @ 98,390 miles (17,374k miles on suspension)
    • New Lower Control Arms & camber bolts which where anti-seized on install so they will never seize
    • Auto Trans flush (complete fluid exchange) using Redline ATF D6 @ 97,384 miles
    • Spark plugs every 30k
    • Oil changes every 5k using Mobil 1
    • Driveshafts greased at least every 10k, typically sooner
    • Alignments performed by me using SmartRacing Products SmartStrings (alignment specs contained within maintenance spreadsheet)
    Exterior:
    • Toyota Genuine rear bumper cover (steel part#: 52151-04907) that was powder coated to match in Gloss Black 202. I have the original chrome bumper that can go with the truck.
    • Toyota Genuine front grille surround in Gloss Black 202 - I have the original chrome grille surround that can go with the truck
    • Plasti-Dip emblems and grill badge flat black in 4 cots, then 4 coats of glossifier
    • Sport turn signal mirrors (that work!)
    • Aftermarket (TYC) Turn Signal mirrors
    Lighting:
    • Morimoto XB LED Fog Lights (LF-Toyota LF220)
    Wheels & Tires:
    • BFGoodrich All Terrain KO2 | LT265/75R16 | Load Range E | 123 R
    • Matching full size spare BFGoodrich KO2 (265/75R16) on steel wheel
    • Method Race Wheels NV305 Black, 16x8" | 6x139.7mm | 0mm offset --- I ran these without the center caps but have them and they will convey with the truck
    • Gorilla Lug Nuts 12x1.50 1.6" CL ZN 6L Zinc - #21134ETZD --- These are the extended length lugs with spline drive key. I noticed three lug nuts were slightly “sticky” during the first tire rotation – looked like a manufacturing issue with the lugs or a foreign object partially marred the threads. So I ordered a replacement set of either 20 or 24 – can’t remember. So the 17 or 20 extra lug nuts and now 3 spline drive keys will convey with the truck.
    • NOTE: I have the original Baja wheels (grey). I have not sold these as I wasn’t sure if the new owner would want these. That said, I will add $600 to the agreed sale price if the new owner wants these. Otherwise, I will hang onto them and sell them separately (not with the truck).
    Interior:
    • Husky X-act Contour Floor Mats, front (2 pieces) and rear (1 piece)
    • Toyota Door Sill Guards PT747-35052 over XPEL Black Universal Door Sill Guard (Toyota door guards are not full coverage)
    Front Suspension:
    • FOX Racing 2.5 Factory Series Coilover Reservoir Shocks Adjustable Dual Speed Compression (DSC) 0-3" Front Lift (part # 880-06-418_1404)
    • Icon Vehicle Dynamics Tubular Upper Control Arms with Delta Joint Balljoints
    • Icon Tubular Upper Control Arms Cap Kit (never installed, but will go with truck)
    • MevoTech Lower Control Arms
    • Camber & Caster Adjustment Cam – fully antiseized!!
    Rear Suspension:
    • FOX Racing 2.0 Performance Series Adjustable Reservoir 3.5-5" Rear Lift (part # 985-26-118)
    • Icon Multi-Rate RXT Rear Leaf Springs (1.875" lift, additional spring left out - I got these mainly for greater articulation, load carrying and increase travel with the FOX 985-26-118s)
    • Wheeler's Off-Road Extended Rear Brake Lines
    • Archive Garage HD Toyota U-bolt flip kit w/ Wheelers Super Bumps (bump stops)
I’m sure I’m forgetting something but will update as needed.
    Thanks!
    -Ted

EDIT: 1/6/20: A couple other things I thought of to add to the listing:

I have title in hand. For every part I bought, I have a digital receipt and in most cases a physical receipt too, as well as install instructions for the suspension bits (Icon leafs, UCAs and the Fox stuff). I have the original window sticker and both set of original keys. I also have the original side-view mirrors. The truck has a Pop N Lock rear tailgate lock (manual). It also has the Sabellco anti theft lock (https://sabellco.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=33&product_id=60).

It's not being driven - I washed it, took pictures and parked it. The only time it will be driven is if someone test drives it, so mileage will go up marginally.

EDIT 1/12/20: Got some questions on the condition of the frame. Pics posted in post #13 and #14 below:

Great question. No not really. I will get some pics later today (still dark here). If you look at the shot of the undercarriage, you can see some minor surface rust in spots. Like the shackles - you can see the extent of it there.

How much is there? It's very much on par or better than any other brand of truck/vehicle with equivalent mileage/age. I had an '07 XTerra that I bought new, drove in the south, and when I sold it with 100k miles, the rust was a bit worse than this Tacoma.

When I bought this truck, it was my first Tacoma. But I had heard about the frame rust issues (also had a buddy in PA with one that had a frame replaced) and saw plenty of "clean" trucks with rusted through frames. I searched for months (like 4-5 months) before finding this truck.

A picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll cut it off there and provide additional shots later today. Yes there is some surface rust. It is minor. I would have bought this truck all over again with the amount that's there now.

Here are some shots from the original photos I took. I will get more /better shots later and update the original post.

I blew up the remote res pic and messed with the filters to brighten the photo and get colors to pop if it looks weird. This is the passenger side front and is the same pic as the first coilover shot above, but cropped. The others are of the rear. I applied a filter to the left rear undercarriage shot to brighten the photo.

Hopefully this shows full transparency in style of BaT (Bring-a-Trailer), where I spend way too much time!! :)

Here are some additional shots of the undercarriage and frame. It was an extremely humid day here yesterday with a huge line of storms that rolled through late last night (tornado watch kind of storms). What you're seeing on the oil pan (and other "wet" locations) is not oil or other fluids, but residual condensation. The truck has no fluid leaks.

Had a text message asking about the underside of the hood too. Attached a shot of the hood.

Hoping all of this gives a great representation of the condition of the truck.
