Pounded it down 1 hour of dusty washboard, no dust inside and no stucture failure yet. Pissed rain all night, there was condensation but no leaks. Rear door provided shelter from the rain when up.
Was really nice to pack up in wet weather and no fuss.
Trailer is small and great clearance so no issues manuvering.
Will have camper in my truck bed in August so will put post some pics of that.
Im thinking small solar panel to car battery, couple lights, fan, usb that sort of thing.

Cannot leave things alone. Going to make a 4’ slide out which will give about 60% more space. A “mud room” you might say. Will do my best to take pics as I go.

Dropped $20 on wood to build up the mud room. Pretty sure it will fit...

Going to do this on the cheap because If it is a hard fail, it will be the dogs new house in the backyard.
Its 4’ long, 43” wide and 36” of headroom.

Made some brackets so I can use pipe clamps to support the floating end of the slide out. Got them both for $20

Got it sheeted up. Used boiled linseed oil to make it weather resistant.

If this works out well i may build it out of aluminum one day. A lot easier/cheaper to screw up on wood.

Next job is to make the filler piece that will seal up the square slide out to odd shaped opening. Had scraps of 3/4” cabinet ply taking up space so may as well use what we have.
Its proving to be a bit of a brain melter to pick up the inside lip where filler piece meets camper. Ditched the measuring tape for cardboard.

A view from inside the suite.

    What I learned.
Making a filler piece such as this in many pieces (i have 5 pieces) allows a nice bit of fudge room for final fit. Pretty handy when nothing is square or even

You could just clad it in aluminum. Sign shops or sign supplier, they have some thin material that is easy to cut a bend. Also you can get it in different colors.

Fitting up the 5 baffle pieces. It has to be installed from the inside the camper but will get my first fit done the more enjoyable way.
The moto lift that it is sitting on has proved to be my best friend while building this camper.

I would like that but going to keep costs down for now.
Will build a new one out of aluminum if this works out.

Got the pipe clamp legs done, they work sweet. Stole this idea from someone who used a similar design to hold his gate up.

This one almost broke me. Could not figure out how to keep the slide out tensioned outward so it could make a seal. I googled diy spreader bar but that got weird.
The turnbuckles allow adjustment in and out which helps with the crooked af camper.
