Haven't been back to Oahu in years. How are the recon requirements now? More strict?

If I’m reading it right, I think there’s no next meeting, except it would go to the governor to pass or veto?

265/75/16 tires only everything else stock.
Recon doesn’t apply to other islands yeah? It says recon only applies if the population is over 500,000.
No wonder big island get so many lifted trucks.

Got my recon scheduled for later this month at Island Brake and Alignment...anything I should look out for going in? Just need everything to be in the green for recon, right? I appreciate any insight folks have.

Recon is only done at one facility/site on Oahu.
    http://www.honolulu.gov/index.php/c...s-about-reconstructed-vehicle-inspection.html

Periodic Motor Vehicle Inspection (PMVI also Commonly referred time as “safety”) is done at numerous locations.

Recon requires a “green sheet” alignment document within 30-days prior to recon inspection. Island Brake or other alignment shops can provide one to you. You may need to let them know it’s for recon.

Haha, damn it...I meant my alignment. I have the recon scheduled also at the appropriate location. Good looking out, thanks. I told the shop that the alignment was for recon, so hopefully that works. I've got my PMVI scheduled also from one of the base shops...looks like getting an actual appointment for registration might be the most difficult thing to get!

    For registration, recommend using AlohaQ

Yep...tried that. No appointments available at any of the locations. Hell, I even tried the one at JBPHH since I have access, and they don't have any available appointment either.

Edit: also will probably have to source some garden edging before my recon appointment...tires stick out just enough to potentially be an issue.

AlohaQ is working today, was able to snag an appointment. Any suggestions on garden edging? I'm assuming that something from the standard home improvement stores would suffice?

Can also order fro Amazon, I think. They have 1” or 2” wide fender flare extensions.
There’s also Bushwacker or Lund after market fender flare replacements.

Would definitely go the ezflare or vinyl route...I don't like the look of the aftermarket replacement ones and they are a bit pricey. Thanks again for the insight and help!
